"The Definitive Guide to Making Money Online with Your Writing" is chock full of concrete examples of how to succeed. Clark Covington not only explains the ins and outs of writing for different online markets; he also backs it up with his own experiences. The author tells the reader the basics to how to go about writing, what pay is reasonable for, and what to expect in the future for each type of writing. There is no sleight of hand going on in this book. Instead, everything is obviously real and true. I enjoyed reading this down-to-earth discussion of a timely topic. I can already see that it will help me in making money online.

This book is misleading because you would think it gives you tips about how to buy real estate with less money, or about how to make more money with real estate. But the author does not give such tips or suggestions. She draws extensively on the game of Monopoly while saying it has nothing to do with successful real estate business. Although she mentions several real estate seminars she followed, it transpires that she has no personal experience of real estate. The only important idea she promotes is "don't use your own money". The problem is that she does not tell you how not to use your own money... Why write a whole book when you have only one sentence to say?

This book is not what it claims to be. Please don't waste your time or money getting this book. The author uses the game of monopoly to illustrate a basic point of leverage. She drags this concept out over a book that could have really been a brochure. The writing style is elementary and repetitive. I couldn't find one redeeming quality in this book. In addition, I believe that the author is intentionally misleading consumers with the description of this book. The other reviews must be bought.
The book is about teaching and learning.

I was fortunate enough to be of some assistance to Kalinda while she was writing the book. During our discussions it became apparent that she was following a philosophy similar to mine when sharing information with others.
Kalinda believes in "helping people help themselves". Her teaching background makes the content of the book meaningful for the reader. She keeps everything simple and straight-forward. I admit I am not in the real estate investment business but I am a retired educator.
Take advantage of Kalinda's expertise in real estate and her teaching abilities. Like any good how-to book you will benefit from the well-planned material presented with an easy to understand approach.

Ms. Stevenson purports to share a big secret that no one else will tell you; and uses the game of Monopoly to illustrate her point. The writing is laborious and overly drawn out, and you wish she would just get to the point. Her "secret" is the theory behind basic finance and economic theory - that you can make money with money through leverage. And that banks stack the deck through their rules & practices. In light of the latest mortgage problems, many don't seem as smart. However, Ms. Stevenson seems to have found a way to create her own wealth (and you're contributing). You'd be better off reading a textbook and bypass this book.

As someone who has bought and sold over 150 properties in the last 5 years AND someone who has coached and trained over 1200 investors in the last 3 years, I must say this book is the closest thing that I have seen in print that captures the ultimate truths about success in any business. Especially real estate investing. The name of one of our companies is Abundant Homes so Kalinda's use of words really speaks to me. I appreciate her willingness to go against the grain and tackle some sacred cows of our industry. I will recommend this book to all of my students and I will incorporate the principles into our training.

The author based this book on the official gude from the National Association of Investors Corporation, which is like the bible to organize investment clubs. But this book adds a lot of practical experience from other investment clubs that the official guide doesn't have. Go ahead and buy it if you are thinkiing of getting a good hold in organizing your investment club.

Let's face it. Personal finance is a drag. So many books, so much advice, and so much confusion. That is until you read the Millionaire's Club. Surprisingly, the author Brown does an excellent job. I say surprisingly because most personal finance writers seem to be just as dense as the very books that they keep churning out to the general public. Brown's book, however is short, clear and helpful. She's a straight shooter that believes in serving up no fuss and no muss personal finance. Millionaire's Club has got to be one of the best how-to investment club books currently on the market. I should know. I started an investment club three weeks after reading the book.

This book inspired me to create my own emergency fund and get myself together financially. Rowley explains how and what we need to do and gives good reasons why from financial, quality-of-life and psychological perspectives. Love the great real life stories of women and how money has played a key role in their lives. In addition, the book is loaded with financial information. Read it with a good highlighter, Post-Its and/or notepad. I gained a lot mentally and financially from this book. This book will remain a resource and tool on my shelf for a long time.

Imagine your smartest, funniest, closest friend...Now imagine you're sitting across from her in a coffee shop, listening and I mean really listening, to what she has to say about money. You don't feel threatened. You don't feel small. You don't feel stupid. Your friend is trying to help you and you let her. That is how reading this book makes you feel. Let Rowley's book help you figure out your financial style, and easily work towards a future you can afford and feel comfortable with. Trust me, the little tests are right on the money! (sorry for the bad pun!) If you've ever had even a bit of anxiety over your debt, spending habits, or frugal to a fault ways, you are not alone. Through exciting, real life stories, Rowley talks to women just like you (you WILL see yourself in her book) and helps us plan for a future where our money and happiness can be aligned properly.
While a worthwhile read from cover to cover, it is also a book you will return to again and again, picking up a paragraph here or a chapter there, helping you stay focused on your financial future

This book begins to suggest that the author is going to help you figure your money personality. After a highly superficial treatment of that topic, she moves on to semi-standard financial advice which is greatly incomplete.
While I agree with the other reviewer's comments about Suze, this book isn't worth the time or cost to read.

This book should be read by anyone planning to send a child to college. After reading this book, I started college savings accounts for my daughterin New York and New Hampshire. This is definitely the "sleeper" tax break which everyone should know about. Forget the pitiful Education IRA. The 529 plans are where it's at!!

Highly recommended. This is the first comprehensive analysis that I've seen of an extremely important and relatively new way to save on a tax-deferred basis for your children's or grandchildren's college expenses. It's well-written, comprehensive, and objective, and it gave me enough data to make an informed decision. Before I opened the book, I had researched New York's plan through another source; I was delighted to see the discussion in this book present all of the plan's features (pro and con) that I had discovered--and more.
I haven't met the author (Joseph Hurley). But when I e-mailed a question to him at the address published in the book, I received a thorough and helpful answer later the same day. That's great service from the author of an exceptionally valuable guide.

This book should help just about everybody. Dave's open and honest text helps the reader look deep inside himself to look not only for finanial peace but peace in knowing that the reader can sleep at night with all the other parts of his life no matter who he or she is or how finacially secure he or she might beRamsey has worked hard at his own success and makes no bones about sharing a life that is more about integrity and doing the right thing than the typical finacial strategy books on the market. His tips are solid as a rock and should not be ignored. Especially in todays enviroment where words like integrity, honesty and courage seem to be set aside for excuses and lies. The book takes Dave's first book and drives home the behavioral changes that need to take place to be successful in all aspects of life. Great Job Dave and thank you.

Dave's teaching is practical and common sense. If you follow his plan you will have peace and prosparity. His simple teaching may be scoffed at because it seems common sense, however most people don't follow this and they suffer. I hope you'll read it for your benefit. If you want to have more than enough in your financies and in your life, then read this book.

Dave is preaching some good lessons about life in this book. Values, vision, intensity, patience, wisdomonics (his word).... but the key to me is contentment. Learn to be happy that you are loved by God, and stop looking at spending money on stuff to make you happy. See yourself as a participant in God's world doing His will, and stop focusing on yourself. I know this is easier said than done, and especially if you have a family to support (you always want to give them the best stuff). This isn't your typical financial planning book, or even your typical how to get out of debt book, but it is filled with good thoughts about life in general, and if you live them, Dave promises other problems (e.g., money) will fade away, or at least get under control. I give this a big thumbs up.
