If you have a D300 get this book.I moved up from a D70s,and It was a good move. The D300 Is a lot more complex and does require some study.David "ALMOST" makes the Nikon manual obsolete,a lot easier to use and understand.I get lost In the manual but the book makes It look easy. You will be missing a lot of features of the camera if you don't read this book.

I actually bought this book thinking that it would be like the Magic Lantern books. A small but well written and illustrated field manual. WRONG. It is a large, well written instruction book that shows you everything you could possibly need to know about the fantastic Nikon D300 camera. There is not a better book out there if you have a D300, but dont expect to slip this monster in your camera bag.

This book is for the person who knows nothing about photography and for those who think they know everything.
It is most informative in the complexes of this camera and if, like me, you find some aspects hard to take in at first, the beauty of the written word is that it can be re-read.
I've only got to page 63 so far but look forward to picking it up at every chance.
Highly recommended.

The Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination and Enjoying Guilt-Free Play

The definitive book on the subject of procrastination.
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-09-21
This book is by far the best book I've ever read on balancing your work and home life, especially if you struggle with procrastination and/or perfectionism.

That's a strong statement, but I've read lots of book on personal self-management and how to organize your time effectively (including "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey and "Getting Things Done" by David Allen) -- and I can honestly say that, for me at least, "The Now Habit" is - by far - the best out of all of them.

If you struggle with having more balance and control over your home and work life, if you allow perfectionism or fear of failure (or success) to hinder your work productivity, or if you just want to start enjoying the good things that life has to offer - while at the same time improving your work efficiency and productivity ... then I highly urge you to get this book. You'll learn how to use time-proven tools (such as the Unschedule) and guidelines on how to make the most out of your life, and starting living life to its fullest extent.

I can't overestimate the value of the principles outlined in this book. Too often people who procrastinate feel angry and ashamed of their behavior - without doing anything to FIX the underlying problem. Neil Fiore not only explains why people tend to procrastinate, but he also provides valuable tools that you can use to overcome your bad habits, and replace them with positive and productive habits.

It's not an expensive or overly long book -- and the best part is that the tools mentioned in this book are quite flexible and can easily be melded with other techniques, such as those outlined in "Getting Things Done" by David Allen.

If you struggle with stress from overwork or procrastination, do yourself a favor and buy or borrow this book. You may have been soured on other books that claimed to help with your problems, but told you nothing more than what you already knew. But The Now Habit really identifies WHY we procrastinate, and gives you the means to overcome it - if you commit yourself to doing them.

Also, if you know someone who struggles with these problem, there's a chapter in the end that gives advice on how to deal with the procrastinators in your life. (Although I think this book would make a pretty good gift for them as well.)

The techniques work. I've been a hard-core procrastinator for all my five decades -- heck, I was even late being born -- but this book has changed my life in less than a month. When you're ready to change, this is the book to buy -- read it, and follow its wisdom.

A life changing experience!

This book is the single most effective book I have found to deal with the problem of procrastination. It approaches the problem from a new perspective that really hits home for a life-long procrastinator. Thank you, Dr. Fiore, for the real help instead of just another book telling you to do it now!

Please stop beating yourself up long enough to read this book. I have gotten more done on languishing projects in less time and had much more fun in my life since applying the "Unschedule" instead of my former process that began with an impossible to-do list followed by a day of procrastination and an evening of regret and guilt (sound like fun?). This is a new way of thinking about planning your time that not only works but makes you enjoy your time more. If you have any guilt over things you haven't done (calling all writers!) read this book and take a sigh of relief.

It goes without saying that job satisfaction includes WHAT you do (i.e. job) and WHERE you do it (i.e. workplace). If you don't know what type of job fits you and your personality, you should take the ten-minute self assessment quiz in the book Career Match by Shoya Zichy. In this useful, easy to read career book she helps you discover the best job fit for your unique personality type. In addition, she matches your personality to such workplace factors as the work environment and your boss.

Really very well put together in a simple format. They take the Myers-Briggs type personality types and simply it into a primary color code. Well done and effective book. Good for anyone looking for a career or career change. Do What You Are, is another such book, but a little more detailed and complex. I really liked the simplicity of Career Match.

First I have to say that despite this being a great book it wasn't quite what I expected based on the title. There are some very helpful career tips - but it is vastly more useful as a personality guide. Specifically - communicating with people (and indirectly that is a huge component of what makes us love/hate our career, and is instrumental in getting or not getting the career we want).

The author gives a good history of why she started doing what she does (it is basically an interpretation of the myers-briggs personality test). However her color-coded system is organized in a much better way than any other source I've found. She uses categories like Green/Gold to describe someone rather than the four-letter system, which for me is far more comprehensible. The colors are neutral terms as well - rather than the Keirsey system of 'descriptors' like 'healer', 'mastermind', etc. Her goal is to help people deal with OTHER people in the workplace, and I think she gives you the tools to do just that.

The most convincing for me was that I jokingly made some coworkers take 'the test' at a work related party and the correlation was extremely high. Most people agreed not just with the overall summary of their character type, but also with the 'negative aspects' of their personality (which she cutely presents as 'challenges'). Spouses, if they were present, also agreed with the description.

So if you truly don't know what career to choose - this book may help point you in the right direction, but isn't going to get you to the office door (it's too general). If you are trying to figure out what would fit you best, or how to make things better at your current workplace (or even why you are not happy at your current workplace) so that you have a foundation to move forward from - then this is the book for you.

Easy & fast read, very accurate

Nice addition to "Getting to Yes"

Review Date: 2008-07-06

Getting past no by William Ury is a nice addition to the basic concepts which were laid out in "Getting to yes". Basically, the content of both books is very similar, Getting to Yes provides the basis and Getting past No provides concrete advise for negotiating and elaborates on the things discussed in Getting to Yes. That said, Getting Past No can be read independently from Getting to Yes.

The book describes five steps of "Break Through Negotiation". These steps are hard since they often reflect doing the opposite of what your natural reaction might be in the particular situation.

These five steps are:

- Don't react. Don't react when being attacked, but step back.
- Don't argue. Instead try to agree with them and understand their position.
- Don't reject. Don't reject their position, instead try to reframe their position to understand their underlying interests.
- Don't push your ideas or proposal. Try to work together with them to make a proposal together which is best for both interests.
- Don't escalate. When the above fails, don't escalate the situation and instead think about your alternative and try to describe the situation as it just happened.

The book is very readable and has lots of good and useful examples. It's thin and easy to read in a relative short time. It doesn't contain THAT much information though, for more negotiation techniques check their "Getting to Yes".

Recommended to read after Getting to Yes.

This book is simple and to the point. It does what it claims - teach you how to negotiate. You follow the steps when you deal with salespeople, bankers, and so forth. It is particularly helpful because it tells you the games people play. Once you know what they do, it is possible to counteract it. In other words, it is a useful book.

A must read

wow... I was leading a new contract negotiation with one of our clients who takes pride for being a tough negotiator. The deal was complex and the negotiator had interests that were not in sync with the rest of his organization. Needless to say, I felt defeated and frustrated at the end of the negotiations. So, I got on amazon and started researching books on negotiations and after reading many reviews and learning about the author, I picked this book. I read it in one weekend and could not put it down.
I applied the principals of this book during a recent difficult situation and amazingly they worked! All parties interests were met.
We have a team meeting next week where everyone on my team will be getting a copy of this book as gift.

Techniques to negotiate with not just the good guys but also the bad ones

What would you do if you face a big NO during negotiation? This book trains you well to handle such challenges. The techniques are very practical. I felt that this book is lot more better than the hypothetical Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In

The author teaches 5 simple negotiation techniques - Get perspective of the situation by 'going to the balcony', step to the adversary's side, re-frame adversary's thoughts and beliefs, build them a golden bridge. If any of the above 4 techniques don't help you - use power to educate your adversaries. The author has cautiously avoided using the word 'adversary'. He recommends everyone to take a 'co-operative' approach and not a 'manipulative' approach.

If there is one thing that is more important than any of the suggested techniques - it is PREPARATION. "The best place to make mistakes is in rehearsing with a friend or colleague, not in negotiating for real". This echoes Jim Champ's "Practice sessions provide you an environment to fail safely" theory.

The importance of having a BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement) is re-enforced in this book. Overall, this is a very good book to read to improve your negotiation skills.

You missing the whole point. We need to put our enegry future back into the hands of the american people . Your freinds and neighbors. Would you not like to buy fuel from your local farmer for $3.00 a gallon , then he finds out you lay bricks, fix computers, trim trees , pays you for your services . The most informative and comprehensive book on this subject that has ever been written. It definitely resolves the issues on how and the best ways to absorb ethanol in our fuel obsessed economy. If you have any questions, then look no further for the answer. If you are skeptical, then look no further for the answer. It will change your mind on ethanol, that is a fact. A must read for everyone living in the world today if you meet the following qualification: you eat, you drive, you work, and you buy.. Buy this book.

I work on the forefront of the biofuels industry for an engineering design firm that works with rising biofuel technologies. First let me says that I HAVE NOT read Mr. Blume's entire book. The sections that I have read, however, make some rather untrue statements. For example, in Myth #1 Blume states that oil has a negative net energy output, meaning that it requires more energy invested than it puts out. That means that it takes more than 1 barrel of oil to produce one barrel of oil. If this were true, then it would take more than one barrel of oil to extract one barrel of oil out of the ground and refine it. Realistically, the oil companies use the barrels of oil that they extract to produce and refine their oil. Let's use an example and say that it takes 2 barrels of oil to produce 1 barrel of oil. Where do those 2 barrels of oil come from? They come from the ground. Let's be clear on something. Whenever you extract oil from the ground, you are adding to your total output. Those 2 barrels are NOT energy investments. So when you need 2 barrels of oil to produce 1 barrel, you are extracting 3 barrels of oil and using up two of them for a net output of 1 barrel of oil.

Another untrue claim is that we can completely replace 100% of our motor fuel consumption. This is not true. The USDA and DOE published a report saying that we can displace about 30% of our motor fuel consumption using farmland and forest lands. At best we can displace maybe 40%. And realistically, the displacing probably won't happen for quite a while.

Like I said before, I have not read the entire book. Maybe the rest of uses sound logic and diligent research. Maybe not. Make sure you check your facts and do research. Many people make claims and state them as facts, when in reality, they did not do their homework. And make sure to do your homework on the things that I have said too.

Parts of the book are difficult to understand because they are written poorly...I found myself re-reading sentences and paragraphs trying to make sense of ideas that didn't hang together. Additionally, the book is basically a marketing tool for the subliminal CDs that are sold through a web site. I would like to know, from an independent source, if the CDs actually have made a difference for people. Until I find independent reviews of the CDs' effectiveness, I will not buy them, nor would I recommend someone spending money on this book.

Choices and Illusions: How Did I Get Where I Am, and How Do I Get Where I Want to Be?
By Eldon Taylor
ISBN 1-40191-853-0 (Hay House, 2007)

Nothing is more vital than questioning our beliefs about how we see the world and our relationship to it. Reading Eldon Taylor's book helped me see through many of my self-limiting beliefs and illusions through a very rational and comprehensive approach. Most people are caught in an endless cycle of self-delusion, which only reinforces itself with time because we seek to reinforce previously held beliefs and filter out the rest as irrelevant. If you feel stuck, this book will help.

This book came so highly recommended from so many individuals whom I respect that I couldn't imagine not reading it. I found the book fascinating. I've been a student of spirituality and science my whole life. I loved how the author made the concepts simple and yet very strongly tied them in with the spiritual viewpoint of life which isn't always as easy to grasp. The essence of the Universe and Universal law is the Law of Attraction and the way it is activated is through our thoughts. Mr. Taylor very clearly explains the process and why it works. And Mr. Taylor has found a way, through his many years of research and experience, to expedite that process. I personally know the power and 'magic' of affirmations. But I also know that it's not easy to keep your mind and attention on the affirmations we've chosen and the path we know we would like to direct ourselves to. Mr. Taylor has a line of tapes that compliment and support the concepts in his book. I believe, approached with an open mind, and a willing heart......that there isn't anything you can't accomplish. I plan to purchase several of the tapes and additional copies of the book for myself and for loved ones.

I have read many self-improvement books over the last few years, but until I found Choices and Illusions, I had not found a book that was able to finally give me the information I was looking for on how to reprogram the mind successfully. Dr. Taylor has written a book that is easy to read and hard to put down, packed full of research into how our sub-conscious beliefs cause us to limit ourselves, but unlike other books on the subject, provides answers to the question of "now that I know what's wrong, how do I fix it?" Since reading this book the first time, and I will re-read it, I have ordered a sampling of inner Talk CDs and can't wait to get started with them. Thankyou Eldon Taylor for giving me such a pivotal book and the technology I need to finally be able to make the changes I have so long wanted to make. I will also be buying extra copies of this book for gifting, to friends and family. It is a book that I feel every one should read at least once.

While Miller's book certainly gave me some new insight into how to look for a job, he points out that his book is meant for a "hard sell" on a product: you. Unfortunately, if you're not a salesperson, this isn't easy. The steps are laid out chapter by chapter. The first half of the book really lays out the groundwork for the definition of work, our past conceptions of the job search process, and today's misinterpretations of a "good" job.

All of that is fine and dandy, but give me the good stuff.

Several chapters in, Miller gets into the actual meat and potatoes of the book: resumés, interviews, and follow-ups. The most helpful information I gleaned from this is that while a resumé is a great way to get your foot in the door for an interview, it is not going to land you the job. And while it seems only to be common sense that your personality will actually get you the interview, you'd be surprised at what wrong things people will say in them (and Miller provides plenty o' examples). He explains that 85% of getting the job is how you sell yourself and how well your interviewing techniques are sharpened. He also says you should make contact with the hiring manager (not HR, personnel, etc.) at least three times in order to make yourself remembered by the person in charge of hiring. Again, this is a classic selling technique--one used by salespeople the world over.

All in all, if you aren't comfortable with narrowing down your companies of choice, making direct contact with persons within the company, and making a "hard sell" of yourself, this book may not be helpful for you but may point out some parts of the job search that you weren't previously aware of.

Worked for me!

No reason at all,I certainly enjoyed it and the enjoyment obviously exceeded my will power. As a matter of fact,I have not even become an anti-smoker and still enjoy the aroma of smokers;but have decided to let them do it.
However getting rid of stuff, junk, clutter,or whatever you choose to call it has been a whole different matter--at least for me.
The reason clutter collects is different for different people. However; the reason always boils down to one thing,at least for most people. Some people border on being compulsive or have a mental issue;but that is the exception. If you really want to see how bad that can be I suggest you read "Cadillac Jack" by Larry McMurtry;where you will find a guy who completely filled his house with bird nests. However; there are those who just don't want to throw anything away, keep it because it might come in handy,it's still good, someone might want it,etc.
In my case ,I feel it is different.Don't we all.I have always been engrossed in hobbies and interests and along with these interests have come the "stuff".And why do I have it? Sure,I've spent money and time on it over the years;but I like it, and it has been a lot of fun collecting it.To each his own,I suppose. If you have time and money, you might as well enjoy it. Travel,Drinking,Sports,Gardening,Photography,Music,Reading,Shopping,Dining, or whatever you choose to do is fine;but in many cases, a natural result is the accumulation of stuff.
It would be nice to be able to collect anything you wanted and have someplace to put it. Some wealthy people have had the luxury to do this ,but in the end they have to pass on and leave it all behind. And that has given the world its collections and museums.
So,what about this book and the stuff it talks about getting rid of?
Well, even if you are like me,with my personal library of over 7,000 books (and still growing),my collection of music, collection of rocks, minerals and fossils, collection of puzzles, collection of YO-YO's, ;You are going to be like me.We need all the help we can get and this book is filled with the help we need.
By the way,I have been working at this,as much by necessity as desire.I have a few books similar to this one. See my reviews for "Clutter's Last Stand" by Don Aslett on December 29,2005 and "Clutter Control" by by the Editors of FC&A Publishing on February 15,2008;they are both excellent.
So even for collectors, there is a lot of useful help in these books and we need to keep using the ideas ,if for no other reason than to help us keep it under control or to make room for something "new"

I can still remember the wise words of my dear old Grandmother who once said;

"Remember,everything you get,takes looking after"

I guess it's OK if you enjoy your "stuff",but if you don't;

GET RID OF IT!!!!

This book will definitely help you get started.

Help for all the clutter excuses

Peter Walsh, star of TLC's Clean Sweep, is part organizational pro and part psychologist. I have been a fan of Clean Sweep for a long time and enjoy the way Peter works with people to help them clean out the clutter. I have to admit that I have long used the "excuse" of "It's Too Important To Let Go" in my life in order to hold on to things that I believe have sentimental value. In my efforts to control the clutter I have piled up, I fell into the trap of thinking that if I could buy one more storage system, get a bigger house or purchase one more organizational book that I would be able to get it all under control. Peter points out that container companies and storage facilities are doing a booming business because they don't do anything to truly get to the root of our problem with clutter, they just give us another place to put it and soon we need another organizational system or another mini storage unit. This is where I was when I started reading this book. Now, let me be the first to say that I will most likely never get rid of some of my sentimental clutter. However, as Peter points out, if it is that important to you it should not be sitting somewhere stored and covered in dust. If you believe it has sentimental value then display it proudly. If you find you cannot do this then it probably is not all that important to you and it can go. You will learn about other excuses people use to hang on to clutter, discover how bad your clutter problem is by taking a simple quiz and discover strategies for cleaning the clutter from every room of your home. I believe that this book was a true turning point for me in my ongoing battle with clutter. I am slowly going through our house and cleaning out things that are not used, wanted or needed. Since we are in the process of adopting our third child and the room that will be his bedroom at one time looked like a prime candidate for "Clean Sweep" and now is well on its way to being organized I count my journey to de-clutter to be a success so far.

The really pleasant thing is that Peter Walsh makes you laugh at yourself for the ridiculous clutter you have clung to. And he has some great little nuggets to remember: "If the family heirloom is gathering dust in the basement, don't tell me it is something important or has personal value."

And concerning that over run basement: "It's not like you come downstairs one day and make a decision that you'd rather fill the basement with old lawn furniture and off-season clothes than have a place where the family can gather for movie night."

He lists every excuse you can make:
1-I might need it one day
2-It's too important to let go
3-I can't get rid of it, it's worth a lot of money
4-My house is too small (You should either move to a larger house now (and I mean NOW) or get rid of some of your stuff.
5-I don't have the time
6-I don't know how it got like this.
7-It isn't mine.
8-It's too overwhelming.
9-It's not a problem my husband/wife etc. just thinks it is.

Walsh takes you through each room in the house and then helps you determine the purpose of that room and if the current things in that room fulfill that purpose with specifics like, don't save catalogs, reduce books to shelf capacity.

He encourages you to let go of things that you don't love anymore. Don't keep them hoping that they will appreciate in value.

The kitchen clean up covers cleaning out and organizing work zones. "And NO. Junk. Drawer. Do I make myself clear?"

The book is packed full of a monthly maintenance calendar once you've cleared the clutter, room by room help, daily chore list, etc.

I really recommend this book if you need to stop hoarding and start living.

A life-changing book!

Peter Walsh, the professional organizer from TLC's reality show "Clean Sweep" holds forth on how and why we are overwhelmed with "junk" and what we can do about it. Instead of offering simple "how to clean" advice he tackles the psychology of why people have trouble letting go of things.

Basically, there are two reasons people have trouble thinning down.
1) They have an irrational sentimental attachment to an item. This explains why people keep broken, unusable goods, or family heirlooms which are more of a burden than a blessing.
2) They feel they might need the item "one day". This usually boils down to a fear of scarcity. In our decadent Western society, how likely is it that we won't be able to run to any number of big box stores down the street and pick up whatever we need, at the time that we need it? Do yourself a favor, he argues, and get rid of the stuff that's weighing you down.

I did find a few of his edicts a tad draconian. For example, no bronzed baby shoe mementos, and never ever more than 3 magazines in the home at a time? Really?
However! You must keep in mind, that this is coming from a man who has personally witnessed a lot of the worst cases in the country. I think I can speak for the majority of Americans when I say that my house certainly doesn't look as bad as some of the "before's" on his show. Unfortunately, my home doesn't look as beautiful as the "after's" either. For most of us, whose homes are somewhere in-between, this book is the perfect kick in the pants to get a bit of clearing, organizing and beautifying accomplished.

Walsh patiently, reasonably and logically lays out some of the common thoughts and fears that prevent us from getting rid the clutter and living in the best space possible. I felt inspired to clean up my act and while my home still isn't "perfect" it's now looking a darn sight better than it has in years. It's a difference that you can see! For this reason alone, I give this book 5 stars. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Walsh's clueless, toxic help

I watched a few episodes of that TV show Walsh is on, and he is clearly not a professional in any sense. He gives the impression of someone who somehow fell into an opening in front of a TV studio on his way to his job installing drywall.

One of his organizational strategies is shame, one of the most damaging emotions to mental and emotional health. In one episode, he drove a Korean woman not just to tears, but to actual sobbing, over the state of her guest room. He pummeled her with questions like: "Would you want your mother to stay in this room? Is that what you think of her? Is that how much she means to you?" Given the reverence bestowed upon elders in the Asian culture, it was especially mean.

Furthermore, disorganization is major feature of several neurological disorders, particularly ADD, and many of the afflicted are undiagnosed and untreated. Given their serious, lifelong struggles to get organized, it would not be surprising if a disproportionate number showed up on these TV shows seeking help. Shame would be particularly destructive to these individuals. As a form of toxic help, shame is a major player.

Walsh just doesn't get it: organization or lack thereof is not a moral issue.

I've read many of Joe Vitale's other books, but this one is truly different. It is outstanding. It's all about how he came to know about and put into practice the art of Ho'opononono. I really enjoyed it.

How getting to zero unleashes everything

This book's focus is love, forgiveness, taking responsibility for your life, and living in the present rather than hanging onto regret and recrimination. Most spiritual approaches share these beliefs and the book presents little that is new, except its aloha twist. Author Joe Vitale brings in the Hawaiian perspective of his co-author, Ihaleakala Hew Len, a Hawaiian therapist and Ph.D., who advocates the "//ho'oponopono//" method. The authors' emphasis on cleansing and love is a lot like the repentance and love of Christianity, and the emphasis on the universe existing only in your mind has a neo-Buddhist flavor. Skeptics may find that the recommendation to make a batch of special cleansing water pushes their envelope one notch too far. A larger stumbling block is that although many spiritual leaders teach the emptiness of pursuing money and material wealth, this book makes wealth a goal, and suggests that you can receive riches by ridding yourself of blocked memories. To talk of spirituality as the source of record-breaking sales of luxury sedans seems somewhat self-contradictory, but the book is otherwise straight new-age self-help, though// getAbstract// appreciates its Hawaiian flavor.

Before I bought this book, I read the other reviews. Based on some of the
negative comments, I waited a long time before I actually bought it.
I noticed in one of the reviews by a psychiatrist, he said that Joe was
trying to promote himself. After reading Zero Limits, (three times through
because it was so good), I did not see it this way. I could see that he did make mention of his other books as well as many other authors and their books. He promoted many people in Zero Limits, not just himself. It seemed reasonable to me.
The magic in ho'oponopono is it's utter simplicity. It is so simple that
many people will not like it and not believe it. Due to it's subtleness,
I reread his book several times to pick up all the simple guidance that
Joe and Dr. Len offer. If someone chooses to practice ho'oponopono,
it will change their life. I have so much more peace and acceptance just
by practicing these simple steps. Read the book with an open heart and
an open mind, and experience a quietness that is 'Divine'.

The 4 chants taught in the book are the keys to maintaining a peaceful consciousness that is very difficult to achieve in this world of noise and chaos. Once you get into the habit of chanting the Zero Limit keys, it gets easier to manage your life and takes less and less time to get into zero state which is the God state, or your moving into your center state. Try it. There's nothing to lose by learning something new.

Getting Back to God's Purpose for Your Life

"God's Big Idea" is a book about the unstoppable power of ideas. Myles Monroe unveils the ideology that is the eternal purpose of the creator for His creation and for humanity on earth. Throughout the book he offers solutions to earthly problems, including: war, terrorism, crime, AIDS epidemics, child abuse, environmental destruction, culture clashes, economic crisis, political and religious corruption, and the culture of fear.

Monroe's writing is strong and articulate, appealing to the intellect and to the practical. His clear powerful gospel message does not espouse religion but emphasizes the plan and purpose of God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

The book is filled with scriptural content which guides the reader into an understanding of the precepts of God's Kingdom. Munroe then opens the way for the individual to "Reclaim God's Original Purpose for their life."

This is a book for everyone desirous of fulfilling their destiny while impacting today's culture for God's Kingdom purposes.

I encourage anyone who's ever given up on trying to understand the Bible, to take the time to read Myles Munroe's "Kingdom" series. Prior to this, it's been all out of context. Like trying to apply the rules of football to a softball game. When I saw Munroe on the Benny Hinn shows, explaning things in layman's language and comparing the ambiguous Kingdom of God...or the pie in the sky concept...to a REAL Kingdom, which is what it is, was & will be; drawing parallels between God's government and Kingdom rulership: "God's Kingdom is not a democracy!" ~ Ureka! It all fell into place. Using the wrong paradigm, nothing about it can make sense. In a Kingdom scenerio, tho...Bingo! It all falls into place. I liked the fact that he drew on the actual scriptures to prove his points...they proved themselves, in that light. I also recommend the NKJV Bible (New King James Version) as well as the Touchpoint Bible, available from some of Amazon's resellers, originally from Guideposts.
It explains each book of the bible in accordance with the time and the events taking place; as well as the people and the parts they played.
Back to Myles Munroe, tho..reading what he has to say, shines the light of illumination, on "the word" as I've never had it explained before. I believe, as another poster said, that he was destined for these times; and, those who take the time, will certainly be blessed, by reading his Kingdom series. Reading God's BIG Idea, is a Great Idea!
