This lovely story is about a bunny family who take turns guessing what the baby bunny might want to be when he grows up. Moving through a range of immediate and extended family members including Mum, Dad, brother, sister, Aunt, Uncle, Grandad, Grandma and cousins this is a great way to introduce concept of family and provide a talking point about family ties. The book also moves through a range of careers and ending with one of the most important jobs of all.. being a parent.

My mom used to read this book to me ALL the time, and then we would talk about what she thought HER "baby bunny" would be. I'm now 27, and she still refers to me as "the baby bunny" because of this book. I am a 1st grade teacher, and today I got a good evaluation, and mom said, "Well, it sounds like the baby bunny has grown up to be a great teacher!"

I enjoyed this book. I was more focused on finding about careers more geared towards A&R and managing, but it also has careers involving songwriting, radio, and so on. Easy to read and a nice format.
I especially liked that each career had quotes from an industry professional telling their favorite and least favorite thing about their job. Very insightful.

I wanted to start my own virtual assistance business but didn't know where to start. This book was the best investment I could have made. It is an easy read and walks you through step-by-step with ease. While reading the book, it boosted my confidence level by adding quotes from other virtual assistants who have successful businesses. Have a highlighter in your hand because there is some excellent advice from start to finish. After reading this book, I was able to finish my website, came up with a great name and tagline, and have the confidence to move forward with my business. If you are looking to start a business, this book is for you!!

As a new virtual assistant, one could easily be overwhelmed when trying to find information about the VA business on the 'web. Entrepreneurial Freedom presents all of the must-have information a new VA needs, and does so in a frank and factual manner. I love WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) information, and this book is jam-packed with just that. It's down-to-earth info that every VA needs, and you will race through the book absorbing all of the terrific information you've been seeking. It's ALL here, in one place, and it answers your questions honestly and completely. There are quotes from twenty successful virtual assistants sprinkled throughout the book, and this information drives home the fact that this is truly an industry that takes hard work, but that can be very rewarding.

Entrepreneurial Freedom, published in 2006 by former IVAA President Jeannine Clontz and Lauren Hidden of The Hidden Helper LLC, is a great book for anyone interested in beginning a virtual assisting career or growing their VA practice.
This guide is small in size but packed with information. Clontz and Hidden begin with a self evaluation section to help readers decide if they have what it takes to be a virtual assistant and small business owner. The guide also goes into detail on business planning, branding, marketing, growing your business and more.
Entrepreneurial Freedom contains an entire chapter on finding, and more importantly, keeping clients. The book discusses tough issues like how to say no to a potential client and how to fire a client.
Of particular interest is the chapter on Ethics. Clontz, an IVAA EthicsCheck(tm) Virtual Assistant, outlines her 3 standard questions for helping anyone make an ethical decision in any situation.
This book contains references and lists pointing you to trusted resources for almost any need for your VA business. While it's small in size (only 166 pages including index), Entrepreneurial Freedom is a trusted resource for any new or established Virtual Assistant's bookshelf.

I've been a virtual assistant for a while but when I learned of this book I purchased it. Wow, was I glad I did. The information in here is invaluable. In fact, I've had to repurchase the book a couple of times because I keep giving it away. (I think I've purchased three copies so far.) I HIGHLY recommend this book to any new or veteran VA or small business owner. The book gives you so much information. Lauren and Jeannine really did their homework here. Some books are borrowers, this one is a definite purchase. You'll refer back to this book often. They also offer an workbook to go with it -- great purchase as well. [...].

As a veteran of the Virtual Assistance (VA) industry, I can absolutely say that this is THE book for VAs. I've read most of them and while they touch on many important things, the authors have managed to really capture all of the things you need to know - it doesn't matter if you are brand-spanking new or looking for a "boost" to get you moving again. If you only read one business book this year, THIS should be the book you read -- and have a highlighter handy!

The book appears grea--typical of Brqdley/Millspaugh. However, it would have been nice if the endclosed software matched the text of the book. The book refers to the "2003 Update", but the endclosed sofware is for the "2005 update". The two do not match and thus the purpose of enclosing the software so I can do the exercises in the book and thus
learn to use the software is very much more difficult than intended. With the missmatch, I now believe I wasted the purchase price. I did not get what I bargained for.

This book, while getting a user quickly up and running with VB.NET, provides very little detail and explanation on almost every topic it covers. If you are someone who has never written a line of code in your life, have never used Visual Studio (or any other IDE for that matter), and want a very cursory explanation of VB.NET and the use of the various code wizards, then you will find this book quick and informative. For those of us who demand a more rigorous approach, I would highly recommend purchasing another book, geared toward more serious programmers.

The programming in VB.NET 2005 is straightforwardly presented here. It is not a comprehensive exposition of all the VB.NET commands and widgets. Otherwise the book would be much thicker. Instead, the authors strove to teach the most common and, hopefully, useful features of the language.
We can see that Microsoft has put a lot of effort into making VB coding as painless as possible. Buttressed by the addition of a CD with Visual Studio. The latter gives a nice development environment that you could consider learning. Alas, there is only a 6 month trial period for it. Clearly, Microsoft puts this forth as a teaser. Hoping that by the end of that time, you'll be so used to Visual Studio that you'll gladly plonk down bucks for the full version.

I was a little disappointed with the depth of the coverage given to the job-search process (probably because that's my main focus right now), but I still think that this book will come in very handy in the future. If you are a psychology major thinking about grad school, a psychology graduate student, or a psychology professor at the beginning of their career, this book has a lot of useful information. There are some missing data spots, but no book is perfect of course.

This book compbines many career tests such as your vaules (you will have to do a lot of thinking about that one) and whether or not you like to live in a hot or cold climate, and I believe it has the Myers-Brigg in it as well. I'm not sure about that one. All I know is that I lost interest in this book after chapter 6. It is all of the same old same ole. What do YOU want to do? What CAN you do? Do you have the skills and if not, get those skills (Just because you have skills, does not mean that you ENJOY using those skills all of the time) and go to college to get your degree for what it IS that you want to DO. I suggest reaading StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Mr. Rath and The Secret. Those two books will do you more good than any other career book.

I found this book to be a very comprehensive, practical guide; to me, the feel is that it's geared more toward mid-lifers than kids just starting out. In fact, they include suggestions ranging from helping those who need a little adjusting of their current job situation to a complete career makeover. The tests are short and uncomplicated, but, in my case, they were amazingly valid. The "bad manager" list (p. 154 and 155) is not only funny but oh-so-true.
This book is so good that I'll be returning the library copy and ordering my own; it's too good to let go.

I find it hard to take seriously a book that has a grammar mistake on the cover of the book. Notice, if you will, the third bullet on the cover -- the one that says "For anyone else who wants their written communications to be more powerful and professional." Every grammar book I've ever read, including "Bedford's Handbook for Writers," tells me that indefinite pronouns are singular. In other words, it should have read "For anyone else who wants his written communications to be more powerful and professional." If you don't like to use he because of political correctness, you can always say anyone else who wants his or her. Anyway, it doesn't make me very confident of the ability of a book to improve my grammar when the editor cant catch a simple mistake on the cover.

It covers many terms and rules I remembered hearing in school, but didn't grasp. They are presented in a format that I could study on my own; I use it as a quick reference when I'm not sure of something.
It's great as a remedial book and in the same category as Painless Grammar.
