I have faithfully followed all of the offerings presented for the daily OM, and also signed up for several of the special courses. I print out the lessons and allow those I sponsor to read over them, make notes, ask questions, or write answers for themselves. I work primarily with recovering alcoholic/addicted women, and after the initial period of abstinence and detoxification, in order to continue any measure of growth, it is imperative that each person finds new spiritual direction. Daily OM meets these needs in a special way.

As the title reads this is an inspirational and uplifting book teaching you to guide your life through conscious awareness. Mentioning healing, meditation and relaxation reminds me of the Law of Attraction (The Secret) and my favorite book on this, Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook. A great compliment to Inspirational Thoughts.

I have been reading God Calling ever since the early 1970's. This book has helped me to know God in a personal way. I have given many copies away as gifts and worn out 3 paperbacks. I just received the Devotinal Journal and will now write in it along with my meditations. Every person I have given God Calling to has found peace, joy and guidance in their spiritual life and thanked me for introducing this timely book to them.

I use this every morning along with another book by Joyce Meyers called "The Secret Of Speaking God's Word". It is amazing that no matter what day it is the message always seems to speak to something going on in my life during that time. It allows me to better identify certain area(s) I want to focus my prayer and meditation on. Joyce Meyers book give specific scriptures outlined by subject, "Fear, Anxeity, Depression, Hope, etc. . ."

I have purchased at least 6 copies of this book in the past three months because I have friends I knew would benefit and enjoy them as I do.

God Calling is the most precious book I own next to the very Word of God, the Bible! Those with the Spirit of God living in them will easily recognize that it IS truly Jesus talking to you! Every day is a profound message and worth going back several times per day to reread.

This particular edition - I have purchased several for gifts - is soft gold leather and has space for journaling and gives daily scripture too. It is extremely rich looking and makes a special intimate gift for a friend. I would be lost without this book to give me encouragement and peace!

This woman's devotional written in a day by day format is an easy to digest, quick reference guide for anyone wanting to start their day out on the right foot with the right attitude and a go-get 'em philosophy. The total opposite of a deprivation diet. Now I work hard every day to eat the foods that are good for me, and now thanks to this book, I know what those foods are. This is surely better than spending my life trying to avoid foods I shouldn't eat. By the time I get finished with the super foods, I am so full, I couldn't even consider eating anything else. What I refreshing idea! Actually, I have never been able to find a way to consume all the superfoods in a day. Even with salads and smoothies, but what a neat challenge. I never felt better! Everyone says I look healthy, too.

This is a very good and thorough book detailing the 14 foods necessary for maintaining a healthy body and mind. Sadly my two staples, chocolate and coffee didn't make the cut but most of the other foods are things I eat on a regular basis so adding more of these things won't be a huge lifestyle change. You wouldn't think a book about 14 foods would fill a book without putting one to sleep but the author has written the book in such a way that it is easy to skim over the more detailed health benefits of each food and move on to the recipes. I skimmed initially to get a quick idea of what foods I should be focusing on and quickly scan the health benefits and later went back and read the nitty gritty details. For anyone wondering the 14 superfoods are: beans, blueberries, broccoli, oats, oranges, pumpkin, salmon, soy, spinach, tea - black & green, tomatoes, turkey, walnuts and yogurt. For more specific info. you'll need to grab a copy of the book ;)

Once I started reading this book I could not put it down! It is packed with so much information and I have been amazed at how good and alert I feel by changes I have made in my diet.I am a cancer survivor and this book is important to me to help prevent any other types of cancers or heart disease in the future. I also have heart disease in my family. I have been so impressed with this book that I bought 4 more books for my friends, one who was just recently diagnosed with cancer and the other who is a cancer survivor. I will be purchasing 4 more to give each of my children and siblings. So I say this book is a MUST READ!

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this CD, but curiosity got the better of me, and I'm very happy it did. Though the previous reviews stated that they fall asleep to this track, that is not how this production is meant to be enjoyed. This CD is different from the others I've tried from Brain Sync (specifically Weight Loss and Universal Mind). With the other CDs, you could listen as to it as background music, or listen with headphones as you fall asleep. With this CD, you are guided into a graceful, tranquil state of being and guided onto a road in which you come across and overcome certain barriers that are holding you back from fulfilling your dreams. While this CD was created with 'wealth' in mind, I believe it will help you to overcome a number of obstacles in your life. You will feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the world after listening to this CD. You will feel these results almost immediately, though it will take a while to reprogram your brain to accept this message of creativity, confidence and prosperity. You will not regret this purchase. And please be sure to use this CD as it is intended to get maximum results. You, like me, will be glad you did!

Yes, I agree that positive attracts positive. I also remember listening to the CD and realizing it was helping me to remove obstacles. HOWEVER, the title of this CD is 'attract wealth'. I've read and reread all the other reviews, and although everyone is happy and rejuvenated, etc., not one person, including myself, can honestly say they became wealthy after listening to this, and I believe that was the reason for buying it, right?

This is the most beautiful, wise, spiritual, moving, truthful book i had ever read. The words are so wise and true that it hits the core of the soul and unlocks the key to true happiness and spiritual freedom. It opens up a door to God's love, which is pretty intense. Some people may not be able to handle or comprehend how it unveils the lies all around us, that have blinded us from the innate truth.

I just want to say this is beautiful book. It has a simple message. It makes you believe that everything is okay and everything is going to be alright because if you love yourself everything falls into place. I think I'm finally starting to know what that means.
This book is easy to read but the message sticks with you. The author puts a couple of meditation prayers at the end so you have something to help you stay focused on the message, if you want to. I have read two other books by this author, The Four Agreements and The Voice of Knowledge and loved all of them.

I would recommend this book for anyone that might be going over a break up or to anyone that wants to learn more about love and how it works. I saw that this book was recommended during another review session on Amazon and I thought that I would buy it to read over and it was actually written very nicely and as you read the book it includes very nice vivid examples to explain the theories that this book contains. I would recommend this book.

I'm not a big self-help book type person. But this was incredible. My cousin suggested The Four Agreements to me (when I was 17) and I was astonished. I loved the book and needed to know more, so I bought the Mastery of Love and was not let down. As an 18 year old, this book is great for all ages, and I am glad I was exposed to this at a young age, especially before heading off to college. I have given it to everyone I know in hopes of them to change their lives and cast out their demons as well as reinventing themselves. It's not easy, but this book definitely helps. Great book!

I have learned to understand that the door to spirituality is opened slowly instead of yanked open all at once. Even though I read nothing new in this book, I did see a different perspective that reinforced all that I'm learning, pushing that door open just a little further. I also recommend I Love You. I bought this as a gift for my husband so he could use this book as a tool for inspiration when he's not feeling creative (or feeling stuck on a project). Even though we've both had extensive art training it doesn't hurt to have some refreshing fun ideas to work with to get your mind flowing again.

Excellent Guerilla Girl (or Boy) primer!!

Review Date: 2008-02-22
The Guerilla Art Kit is a charming addition to author/illustrator Keri Smith's curriculum vitae. Its attraction stems from its low-key style and a wealth of ideas executed well enough to appear at odds with the simplistic cover. Thumbing randomly through the book is unavoidable; it exudes an odd sort of charisma.

The concept of guerilla art is a clever one. Who doesn't find the idea of a sneak attack appealing? The notion of walking tiptoe through some moldy paradigms to pop up suddenly with a speedy installation of public art and slipping away before the masses shake the haze from their eyes feels personal and fun. As a self-defined non-artist I look for ways to articulate impressions that feel like me rather than feel like art. The descriptor "non-artist" relieves most societal and personal pressure and expectation leaving room to play with ideas that include genuine expression of my self and my experiences. When a sharp idea like guerilla art comes along it adds a measure of amusement to the process. I'm already envisioning an art rebellion complete with secret handshake and passwords and covert operations to be carried out by members of the creative underground - a sort of "Hogan's Heroes" meets Bansky plus flash mob.

Jennifer New's book gave me insight into what a journal could be but the artistic skill exhibited in those pages is a bit daunting to one who scribbles on scraps and torn pages and later can't read her own writing. The Guerilla Art Kit, while not a journal oriented, fleshed out my perspective with fun, quirky ideas and created a new line of thinking for me. Its unconventional cover and construction siphon away the intimidation factor - it's a tool the average non-artist can love unconditionally. It truly is enchanting.

If you're ready to honestly look within yourself and see what's there with open eyes, and if you can put your personal belief system on a shelf and see through Don Miguel Ruiz's eyes for the duration of the read, then you will get something from this book and will appreciate it fully. If you are not ready, you won't learn from the analogies and parables presented in the book. This book has helped me look within and see why I do some of the things I do, and has helped me to let those things go.

If you enjoyed "The Four Agreements", you'll love this book. After reading Don Miguel's book, and even taking a spiritual journal down to Mexico City to do the work in Teo, I picked up this book and that's when it all made sense. This book provides you with a wonderful way to learn even more about the four agreements and to process this work and make it your own.

Absolutely highly recommended!

Release the fears that keep us in the dream of hell
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2007-09-23
This "Toltec Guide To Freedom and Joy" is based on teachings by Don Miguel Ruiz. There are many words that are directly from him, and shown as such, but the book is written by Mary Carroll Nelson who has collected and recorded Don Miguel's teachings.

I picked up this book on several different visits to the bookstore trying to decide if I should buy it. I found many spiritual principles that I'd already read and understood from other places, and more that peaked my interest. The idea that this is all an illusion is sometimes difficult to understand even though I can believe it. The teachings about fear and how we are conditioned to it and how to break out of it are the main course of the book.

There's lots of info here that I hadn't come across before. The ideas of hell and the Judge and Victim. The part about how "Everything we do is based on agreements" -and how that limits us. As I read this through the first time, there were some things that were foreign and hard for me to grasp. When I finished the book I almost felt like I'd just finished a sci-fi book. It's not that I don't believe what I read, it's just that some of the ideas are new to me. There are lots of intriguing thoughts and ideas about spirituality, life, death and fear and love expressed here.

Near the beginning of the book, Miguel was in Egypt via trance travel where he found himself in a long hallway underground. There was an old man who served as his teacher who showed him some glyphic figures on a wall and Miguel knew that this man was a Hierophant. Later on, Miguel realized that the images he had seen were illustrations from The Book Of Thoth and what we know as Tarot cards. After studying the cards, he found that none were entirely accurate but that the ones designed by Pamela C. Smith (under direction of AE Waite) are based in love and the ones by Aleister Crowley are based on fear. I found this section and his findings particularly interesting. The author, Mary Carroll Nelson says that "Miguel will write a future interpretation of the Tarot." -I hope he does because I would love to read that.

Overall, this is an interesting book and there is a lot here to absorb and learn from. It's something that I've returned to several times and I think I gain more understanding each time. The information is beneficial and can aid in advancement spiritually, but at the same time, I think one has to be ready to read this. (Due to our present conditioning) Otherwise, it could seem very unreal.
