This, the second book in the 4-part series of The Law of One, is an amazing look further into the mysteries of our Universe. The material, while somewhat technical at times, is very positive in its delivery. This is a book you will read several times and keep as a reference tool. I can't say enough how much it has effected me and how much clearer I see things around me. It was recommended to me by many friends, all of whom have been positively effected by the material.

This is a day by day inspirational reader with information to help you be more creative and by the end of the year doing some different things you may not have thought of before. If you have ever enjoyed Sark's calendars or books before you will surely like this one. Highly recommended.

I saw this book first time in my friend's place, and I like it just by viewing the cover and the scrambled handwritings! So I asked my aunt to search for me a copy of this book because it is not available yet in my city.

My first impression of this book is that this IS a real Daily Bread. Daily Bread is a short Christian spiritual reflection in day-to-day basis. So does this book, but the content is not any Christian stuffs but life's stuffs. The books uses colors and pictures, and the text is formed in a short passage, makes it interesting and easier to be read (especially for first SARK reader!). Yet, the power that it has will amaze you...

SARK is simply asking you to join a world of joy, filled with wonder and beautiful things that may be passed unnoticed in daily life. This book will takes you to travel inside and outside of your world, expand your view, and fill your new view with amazing scenes of life...

i first picked up this book as a cynical, walled-off teenager and hated it! my first impression was "oh, cute. a sugary, doodle-y book by yet another free-spirit hippie telling us to be true to our selves and have fun and give hugs." yeah, i know. harsh. >_<

a few years later i'd softened out a little and had some of my bitterness disolved. i re-read "living juicy" and realized how much i'd been missing out on. this little, quirky, nifty book is not trying to prove anything- but it does show the way to living from the outside in. loving ourselves and bringing that love outside into the world. as a jaded, self-hating teen, i think that message was a very tough one to embrace. SARK asks us to look at ourselves, listen to our hearts, and live spontaneously with deep creativity and love. what i first mistook for flippancy and silliness is now seen as a profound, compassionate, disarmingly simple series of messages from an artistic angel and very cool woman!

i'm sorry i didn't mellow out and re-discover this book sooner. SARK brings the kid in us out to play, cry, read, shout, rage, love, meditate, walk, chat, and nap. and with the emotional spontaneity and straight-forward wisdom of a kid, she invites us to live juicy.

First, a really BIG `Thank You!' for a book that is insightful and honest - devoid of religious platitude and `imaginative goobly gook.'

I have been researching Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) over the past few years and have found correlations between people's NDE accounts and EVP communications.

The wide-ranging variables around the descriptiveness of NDEs is related to individual mindsets, backgrounds and interpretations - and your NDE account in particular helps me to understand the extremely broad `random-type' recorded comments passed on by discarnates from within their new realms of being.

Your insights will also greatly assist other EVP researchers to begin to broaden their own mindsets as they understand that they are dealing with a great number of discarnate energies with a multiplicity of views about their particular disembodied status.

Maybe, rather than considering anything `demonic' in this life, people start to perceive human becomings as being various `shades of grey', rather than simply considered as being`evil' or`good!'

I've read just about every book there is about life after death, life before life, etc. and some of them have really touched me deeply, especially Michael Newton's "Journey of Souls" and "Destiny of Souls" and Neale Donald Walsch's "Conversations with God" series. I really thought that this subject had been so thoroughly covered that there wasn't much new that could be offered but this book, "Backwards" by Nanci Danison, somehow captures the best of all the previous books in this genre and then goes beyond that. It is a book filled with breathtaking new insights and mind-expanding revelations. This book resonated with everything inside me that I think of as "me" and then went beyond that to touch who I really am and that is a Being of Light. After finishing this book I bought the CD audio book so that I could listen to this over and over again. After reading this I have gone beyond just hoping that what other near-death experiencers have told us is true to actually believing that what Nanci saw & heard is the true reality. This book takes the FEAR out of life. For the first time, the very first time in my life, I find that I'm actually looking forward to each new day, no matter what it brings, and I'm looking at it without that FEAR that permeated my outlook before. Love is all that matters and no truer words were ever spoken. What an awesome experience this book has been.....and still is every day. Thank you for sharing it Nanci and I hope there are more books to come.

BACKWARDS is an interesting and profound book despite of being an easy reading - a well and articulate style. Congratulations Nanci L. Daninson!
It will be nice if all people will read the book and reflect about their lifes and what they do - we will leave in a better world, a kind of return to Paradise.

I am thankful for Nanci Danison's insightful recall of her personal NDE which resonated deeply within me; and, as I read her account, I had the sense I was hearing truth spoken, finally! I was recently privileged to hear Ms. Danison speak in person and found her personal account of her profoundly life-changing experience surprisingly candid and honest, thus, very credible - a woman who needed to do something with the knowledge she was given during her incredible journey and in so doing, she's become God's Messenger. This is a book I will return to over and over again.

This small but powerful books goes to the depth of you. You can put on a happy face to the world, but if the thoughts that run through your mind aren't lined up right and monitored carefully, it doesn't change your circumstances. It's written a bit 'high brow', but inspite of the old English wording, you definitely get the message. A basic for anyone seeking to better themselves inside and out.

I have read this book sooo many times! Each time I read it I get a better understanding of me. I am filled with awe at the depth of this man. Not everyone can understand the meaning behind his words, but let he that hath understanding read this book and having done so help enlighten others who may not be as gifted.

Each and every paragraph in this book has the same message - We as humans are a product of our thoughts. I bought this book based on the recommendation of writes who I have a lot of respect for, including Tony Robbins.

I knew that the general essence of the book was that a positive attitude leads to an improved life. I was hoping for some empirical evidence and/or some practical advice. I found neither. Just paragraph after paragraph of rehashing and restating the same exact thing over and over again. The only thing that changed was the analogy - a ship on the sea, a seed growing into a beautiful tree, mining for gold... I never would have thought that a 40 page book (more of a pamphlet) could be further condensed, but all of what was said could have been said in a couple of paragraphs.

Furthermore, the whole premise behind the book is questionable. As I said, the author does nothing to back up his point, which is basically that our present state is a product of our thoughts and our thoughts only. Our current manifestation has absolutely nothing to do with out diet, our DNA, chance, circumstance, exercise, education...

I give it only one star. The idea of the book is good, and this guy put his ideas down a long time ago. I give him credit for that. But there are much better books on the subject that give both practical advice and inspirational evidence. In my opinion this book is a waste of money and and waste of time.

This is an amazing little book and I've never read anything quite like it. The elegant prose is beautiful to read and the messages of inspiration and example are extremely powerful and thought provoking.

I found myself reading certain paragraphs over and over again, not because they were difficult or confusing, but because the messages were so profound that I wanted to linger on them for a time before moving on. Truly a classic work in the field of personal development, this is a "must have" addition to you success library.

This was a 'cute' book. More for a child than an adult. The book size is small measuring 5" X 5" . I was hoping for a larger book to display on a coffee table. The pictures, however, are wonderful as is the 'wisdom' in the book. The size was the only issue that I had with this purchase.

This wonderful book is a treat for the eyes and the mind. The secret to life is revealed within the lovely pages. I will be giving this book as a hostess gift at every barbecue and clam bake this summer! I have been re-reading it daily and each time I feel the peace of mind and inspiration that comes from a sunrise or a dip in the surf!

This is a wonderful gift book full of wisdom and humor. I actually read it while at the beach and it was fabulous. Great inspiration and insight. The writing is superb, the photography beautiful and the layout is wonderful. Would make a great gift or a pocket full of inspiration!! It's the kind of book that I reach for when I am having 'one of those days'. It's small, simple and yet so rich in what it has to offer. The words of wisdom accompanied by the wonderfully calming photos of beach scenes relax my mind and give me cause to stop and reflect on what really matters in this world. We all need more times like this. If you can't get away to the beach, you can at least pick up this book and transport your mind and soul there.

The author does a phenomenal job of breaking the topic down into small manageable and inspiring readings; also covers a great cross-section of leaders and the characteristics that made them successful. I ordered a dozen copies as executive and motivational gifts.

J. Kevin Sheehan presents a celebration of what's possible in his biographical snapshots of great leaders. By focusing on the unique character traits of outstanding leaders the author transforms the mysteries of leadership into something very real. He answers the question "what made them great?" in an extremely concise and inspirational style. Great as a corporate gift or graduation present. My children have used it for school projects and I have found inspiration for my own business. No home or school library should be without this most valuable tool.

Contrary to the previous reviewer who didn't think Kim Thittichai (Hot Textiles) did a good job on addressing the safety issues...I beg to differ. I'm only on page 27 and so far Ms. Thittichai addresses the safety issue on page(s) 7 (2 paragraphs); pg 10, entire page; pg 12, 1 paragraph; pg. 15, 1 paragraph; pg. 17, warning; pg 24, entire page. I think this is an excellent book which leads the artist into using different mediums and how to safely use each of them. I'd highly recommend this book to someone who has used some of the products as well as someone who is new to working in this textile environment.

I am really enjoying all the ideas and great instructions for techniques packed into this book. I feel I really got my moneys worth with this purchase and will browse through it over and over.

Although I am not skilled in this type of art, I am a visual artist. This book and the methods shown intrigued me enough that I will try to find a way to incorporate some of the methods and materials into my work.

This is one of the few books I have bought that I read cover to cover. I can't wait to get started on everything!

There are not step by step directions but there are good descriptions of what to do to achieve each effect. It might not be the book for a beginner. The pictures are wonderful.

Lots of innovative fiber techniques are coming out of the UK,
and this is no exception.
However, I found some inaccuracies, like MX dyes dyeing polyester
(doesn't happen), and some downright blatant safety issues ignored.

A wealth of info for aging boomers. I enjoyed the book. It's a good read.

I feel the book could have been better if presented in a slightly less bland style. But I think the subject matter and the advice dished out compensated for the droll writing style.

Corbett has helped many and now with Portfolio Life, many have hope. When you finish reading this book have a glass of milk, sleep well, and start rereading it the next day with your pen and pencil...and don't forget the coffee can!

Conventional retirement books tend to focus on the event of the end of normal full-time employment, followed by some sort of activity-oriented shift into hobbies and possibly consulting and/or Board Membership. On the other hand, Portfolio Life makes the reader focus on thinking about how we want to spend our time, what balance of activities would be fulfilling, and what rewards (psychic and material) we expect. It suggests not an activity-oriented process, but rather what might be called a liberal enlightenment process. If done successfully, it provides a road map (admittedly and rightfully being updated from time to time) for the rest of our lives. And in Portfolio Life, Corbett provides the reader with useful and practical advice to manage the process and come up with a strategy that can be implemented.

Don't do it! A book professing to show a new way of life - to lead you to your new (older) destiny? No - just full of platitudes and bland auto-biography - don't waste you money; use it to get a personal coach instead

David Corbett's Portfolio Life was a breath of real fresh air to me. My own retirement had been a muddled mess for a year or more when this book was suggested to me. Read in consort with Marc Freeman's Encore, it will stir your imagination to a better understanding of the creative possibilities of this next stage of life. I cannot recommend it enough and do, in fact, recommend it to people on almost a daily basis.

This book changes people's lives. Your perception about the people in your life will shift and you begin to see the universe from a more balanced perspective which in turn creates more balance within you.

If you really want to make a difference in your life, get this book. Without a doubt, it's the best one out there. Dr. John DeMartini is brilliant and the book is easy to use.

This book is truly an amazing piece of work. If you've ever struggled with your life - from feelings to what you should be doing with your life - then this is the book for you. You don't have to be a victim to your feelings and past experiences any longer. You can breakthrough all that and become the person you want to be! And live the life you were meant to have.

This is an insightful and very thought out book. As you read each chapter you are supprised to find that the pennies just keep dropping as what Dr Demartini has to say about our perseptions with life, love, friendships and relationships of all aspects. Very interesting and I would recommend this book to most people with an open mind.

I found nothing new in the book... when i emailed for clairification was sent back info from courses i was told i would need to understand my question... of course the workshop cost much much more than all the books combined.. and there are courses after that one... much like scientology.... much of what wasin book i ran across 40 years ago...
