I am not sure why this book has received so many good reviews. The basic premise is that if you channel love into someone, good things will happen. So thats the gist of it.

Catherine Ponder is a wonderful author who can show us ways to get through the detours in life that all of us encounter. Her work is simple to read and understand. I especially like that Catherine uses samples of how
the material she offers worked for others. Definitely this book, and all other work by Catherine Ponder, is a
must read.

I love, love, love this author and I love, love, love this book. This book put me in awe. She has shared things with me that has blown me away. If you are having any difficulties with anyone in your life, be it your spouse, boss, children, neighbor, friend, relatives, this BOOK IS A MUST. Catherine Ponder has got be one of THE MOST influential inspiration writers that I have ever come across. Her words are timeless, as are the messages, yet, after one reads her books, it is all really very simple, yet it is we who complicate it all, thus complicating our own lives!! I have read this book at least twice and it is one of my "must haves" in my library.

Ponder helps the reader look at all situations in one's lives though new eyes - the eyes of love and forgiveness. Releasing, forgiving, and loving are all that one really needs to live a most joyous and abundant life. "Release is a form of forgiveness that we all need to practice often. Emotional release is one of the highest forms of love." If one has feelings of low self-esteem, low self worth and feelings of helplessness, I guarantee that after reading this book, one "can" change themselves, as well as their life around forever.

We are taught through her teachings of love, that we can heal ourselves on many different levels, including success in our business lives. One of my favorite quotes (and there are many) from the book is, "Whatever your problem it is but a test in love. If you meet that test through love, your problem will be solved. If you do not meet that test through love, your problem will continue until you do! Your problem is your initiation into love."

One only needs faith and trust to conquer that which holds us in bondage.

I absolutely love this book and when fear creeps in, this book is amazing to refer back to once again let love shine and to live in the light.

Catherine Ponder has written an exceptionally powerful and practical book, "The Prospering Power of Love" taking a spiritual approach to manifesting abundance and prosperity in your life. I am now reading this book for a second time and I'm realizing the potency of this book with deeper understanding.

I am now experiencing a more complete understanding of the workings of Divine Love in one's life, and how Divine Love is connected to the process of healing and manifesting in one's life.

Firstly we are to realize that love exists within, and that we are to consciously connect to this inner centre of love and by means of releasing any blockages radiate the energy of Divine love always. The power of Divine Love can create miracles of healing in one's own as well as in another person's life. Catherine Ponder clearly explains, complete with true life examples, how Divine Love can solve both personal and business problems. To do so it is suggested to use various statements of affirmation on Divine Love such as "Divine Love is doing its perfect work in me and through me now" She reminds us that we can all experience success through the power of love, since "the love that we need for healing, prosperity, and happy human relationships is right within yourself." Therefore all of us always have all the love that we need for creating our prosperity and abundance.

Catherine Ponder describes how love works as a healing power, and once we completely understand this then we can begin to work with this power to transform our lives. She reminds us that Divine Love can meet every need and also reveals the secret of financial increase so that we may experience and provide countless blessings in life.

I really like this book. It has wonderful photos of the best craft rooms in existence. Great little quizzes to determine your decorating/organizing styles. Nice tips sprinkled throughout to help you plan your own. But the parts of the featured craft rooms that I would like to duplicate - I will have to do a few hours of research for a purchasing source. A "Where to Buy" section would make this book a 5 star! Or at a minimum, brand names of the items used in some of the rooms that were clearly not furnished through garage sales (so that I could just google them!). As it is, it is just a coffee table book since there isn't much more than nice photos in my opinion.

Many people think that you don't need to be organized to create art. For these people, art happens naturally by grabbing canvas and paint and "doing it". However, if you ask any artist, you'll find out that this isn't always the case. I know for a fact that if my studio isn't clean and tidy, all my tools and materials organized and out where I can reach them when I need them, I cannot work on any project. A disorganized workspace tends to stifle my creativity and leaves me feeling like I cannot do anything.

What prompted me to purchase this book was the idea that it focused solely on how artists, from scrapbookers to quilters, can organize their space to maximize their time spent on creating their art. I also liked how it went into a multitude of art styles, rather than focusing on just one art. If you've always wanted to organize your art space or create a perfect place for starting a new craft, then this book is for you. Like most craft-related books on the market, Packham writes for art women but don't let this fool you. There's a lot of information that can be used for artists of all ages, men and women alike.

Organizing Your Craft Space begins by assessing your art space needs. Packham includes many lists and questions that cover your available space, what tools and things you use to make your crafty items, your color preferences and objects that might help store your items as well as look pleasing in your space. She explains that these questions are central to uncovering what is the best fit for your artistic needs. She even recommends that you keep a space journal and fill it with diagrams of your room, all the items you use in your art and any things you need to purchase for your room (like plastic containers, furniture or tools). Keeping a journal of this sort gives you a written record of what gives you the freedom to create and what sorts of things and colors you want to fill your creative space. She also defines the different types of storage styles and suggests many helpful tips and tricks for keeping your space free of clutter and trash. For artists whose craft space aslo doubles as a guest room, Packham gives advice on how you can accomidate both in the same space with minimal effort.

The rest of the book details storage and organization by art type. These chapters include stained glass and mosaics, rubber stamping, scrapbooking and other paper arts, beading, yarn crafting and quilting. Packham discusses various needs and organizational styles that can be used to suit each craft-form. She starts out by listing a few short questions about the art and materials you use and then goes into explaining how these items can be stored or contained to maximize your time spent creating art. Each chapter includes an over abundance of pictures that show different ways to contain and organize your craft space. At the end of a section, Packham showcases one or more guest artists and their real-life working spaces. She tells us about their space, challenges and solutions, as well as showing us what these artists use to contain their tools and the methods they use to keep them focused on making art.

This is a good book for organizing several different types of crafts. It includes Scrapbooking, Quilting, Beading and other crafts. The book helps you recognize alternative sources for organizing besides the organizing products on the market.

I was terribly disappointed with a book with such a beautiful cover, but the pretty pictures continued inside with no real organizing information.

Excellent in case you don't know how to organize in a small space. I already had the same ideas as in the book but found a few more to make my craft room cleaner and not so messy.

I purchased this book because a phrase was mentioned in my daily meditation. I was so moved to further my inquizative, hungry mind & soul. I was very excited to receive the book and begin it imediately, as i did. I was not dissapointed as it kept me at my edge. I wanted to read more as i digested all the wonderful, hearty visions and fueling words and messages. This book lead me to my next and then to another and i realized i was on a journey of no return. A few things that were elusive to me such as supreme confidence, knowing how to stick to my truth despite what others asked of me, and fretting about what is going to happen in the future, were all explained in such a manner in Know Yourself that for the first time I get it.

Learning about what has caused upset within myself by soaking in this exceptional book has gleaned rare insight that I have not experienced before until now.
I highly suggest this book for learning how to feel self worth.

Make no mistake about it, Know Yourself is one of the best I've ever read because it covers it all. Each stage of life, what's been missing inside ourselves, how to regain what we feel we've somehow lost inside, and the chapter on abuse is right on target. That would only apply if you've been abused and the nagging effects of it can make you feel that you're not worth much at all until you discover you are.

One of my favorite passages comes from page 46 during the written exercise part of the book. It says in quotes:
"The choice of what to put on your list is all yours. No one on this earth can create your life. No one other than you knows exactly what you love, what brings you joy, and what fills your entire being with passion. What you are about to write is the real you that lays beneath should's, societal expectations, cultural attitudes, and what you have been taught that opposes what you feel is true for you. Now, it's writing time to bring the real you to up to the surface on the following pages."

Know Yourself taught me how to turn my attitude about myself around. It did its job and then some. It has been a gift to me that I'm sharing with friends.

In "Know Yourself" Barbara Rose did an outstanding job of bringing insight where I previously had confusion or uncertainty. There is a chapter covering abuse that helped me un-do more hurt from the past than I thought it would, and for that I am grateful.

I wanted to quote directly from the book from page 98 because I feel this can help anyone, which is the purpose of this great book.

"Letting Go of Criticism
Another part of cherishing others is to, with loving compassion, let go of any criticisms made of you; blame the criticisms on illusions the people had at the time; for had they had healthy and pure minds, they would not have taken anything out on you. Instead of blaming them, cherish them for being your teachers--and for teaching you how to feel self-value despite anything they may have said or done.

Do not ever take to heart hurtful comments others make. Do not make them a part of your being. Know yourself and you will know truth.

Know who you are. What you believe in. What feels right and true for you.
If you dream of changing your career because of the passion you feel for a new field, enjoy the process; never let anyone stop you with their illusions of so-called failure or impossibilities.
Nothing is impossible.

I learned this saying: "Whether you believe you can or you believe you can't, you're right!"

If your heart is pulling you in a certain direction, then this is a part of your truth, and you must honor it.

This is where a solid sense of self comes from. It comes from knowing your truth. You can be sixty-five years old and decide you want to go back to school to become a doctor because you have always really wanted to help people. Go back to school!

Don't ever let chronological age hold you back. Many people, both men and women, have uplifted countless lives and have achieved their greatest self-actualization later in life.

Wisdom is the hallmark of a life lived from the heart, without judgment, and with compassion for all others.

No matter what it is you want to do, do it because it is a true expression of who you are. The joy you will experience by honoring what your heart and soul came into this life for will far outweigh the pain and disappointment you will feel if you don't honor your truth."

There is much more that I can quote from, much more that has helped me.

While doing the written exercises, simply and clearly spelled out in the beginning of the book, I experienced what many people call "A-Ha" moments. Each one brought more about what was holding my back into my awareness, and then following the guidance in the book I was able to un-do the old, and replace it with truth that feels much better!

I read this book twice so far, and am now re-reading it again. It's an excellent book for anyone male or female!

I'm sorry but I found this book extremely unhelpful. It was very disjointed. It wasn't even clear what you were supposed to be writing in the workbook pages. It just seemed like a stream of consciousness of trite phrases like "everything happens for a reason". Maybe it's helpful to people who have never thought beyond their nose for their entire life. I don't know. I couldn't find anything redeeming in the entire thing. I ended up just skimming the second half so maybe there was something redeeming in there.

As an auditory learner, I have enjoyed listening to Renard's CDs more than I have reading his books. The Secrets of the Immortal is, by far, his best CD set. His set on the Disappearance of the Universe was amaturish. The actors who voiced his "visitors" were terrible, and Gary sounded like a high school kid with a bad attitude.
On Secrets, however, Gary's voice sounds like a mature spiritual teacher. He presents his teachings in a well-organized and fully developed way. Anyone who wishes to get more insight into A Course in Miracles will find Renard's works very helpful. At times, he even gets close to Eckhart Tolle in his level of insight and profundity, but this doesn't happen consistently. However, the kind of insight and level of wisdom these CDs capture is a very important step in the bringing of the Human Consciousness to another level.

I love this CD series by Gary. If reading isn't your thing, pop these into your CD player and get your spirituality fix while driving or whatever. Disc 2 is the most important, I believe, in the series, since it is mostly about practicing forgiveness. Gary's humor, although a bit dry, makes spirituality fun and motivating, and takes the edge and pressure off. Gotta love the G-Man, Arten and Pursah chose him wisely. Giddy up!

I so much enjoy the disc's of Immortal Reality. I have read the book. But with the disc's I can take one with me while I walk or ride in the car. Gary Renard' books clarify and make it easy to understand ACIM. I enjoy listening to it over and over.Most of all I practice forgiveness, now.

This is my favorite of Gary Renard's audio recordings. Even if you've read his books and devoured them, this audio program is worth listening to many times.

Gary shares deeply of his experiences, his perceptions and feelings over the years that he wrote the two books with Arten & Pursah. He shares artfully about his personal growth and transformation.

Over the years of studying A Course In Miracles and engaging in deep spiritual practice, Gary has come to reveal his authentic self in ways that are both inspiring and entertaining.

Gary's sense of humor is wry and delightful in this recording. I laughed out loud all the way through it! There is instruction and insight that he shares from his own deep experiences. It is well worth the price! God bless Gary Renard for sharing so well and so much of himself. One cannot help but admire him.

In this 6-CD set Gary Renard presents principles of A Course in Miracles in such a practical way! I simply couldn't track ACIM before reading Gary's book, "Disappearance of the Universe". His second book, "Your Immortal Reality: How to Break the Cycle of Birth & Death", and now this 6-CD set are helping me to put Course principles into EVERYDAY use. "Secrets of the Immortal" has my HIGHEST recommendation to Course students and especially to seekers who may want an overview of ACIM. CAUTION: You will never look at your life and the world the same!

First, a really BIG `Thank You!' for a book that is insightful and honest - devoid of religious platitude and `imaginative goobly gook.'

I have been researching Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) over the past few years and have found correlations between people's NDE accounts and EVP communications.

The wide-ranging variables around the descriptiveness of NDEs is related to individual mindsets, backgrounds and interpretations - and your NDE account in particular helps me to understand the extremely broad `random-type' recorded comments passed on by discarnates from within their new realms of being.

Your insights will also greatly assist other EVP researchers to begin to broaden their own mindsets as they understand that they are dealing with a great number of discarnate energies with a multiplicity of views about their particular disembodied status.

I've read just about every book there is about life after death, life before life, etc. and some of them have really touched me deeply, especially Michael Newton's "Journey of Souls" and "Destiny of Souls" and Neale Donald Walsch's "Conversations with God" series. I really thought that this subject had been so thoroughly covered that there wasn't much new that could be offered but this book, "Backwards" by Nanci Danison, somehow captures the best of all the previous books in this genre and then goes beyond that. It is a book filled with breathtaking new insights and mind-expanding revelations. This book resonated with everything inside me that I think of as "me" and then went beyond that to touch who I really am and that is a Being of Light. After finishing this book I bought the CD audio book so that I could listen to this over and over again. After reading this I have gone beyond just hoping that what other near-death experiencers have told us is true to actually believing that what Nanci saw & heard is the true reality. This book takes the FEAR out of life. For the first time, the very first time in my life, I find that I'm actually looking forward to each new day, no matter what it brings, and I'm looking at it without that FEAR that permeated my outlook before. Love is all that matters and no truer words were ever spoken. What an awesome experience this book has been.....and still is every day. Thank you for sharing it Nanci and I hope there are more books to come.

BACKWARDS is an interesting and profound book despite of being an easy reading - a well and articulate style. Congratulations Nanci L. Daninson!
It will be nice if all people will read the book and reflect about their lifes and what they do - we will leave in a better world, a kind of return to Paradise.

I am thankful for Nanci Danison's insightful recall of her personal NDE which resonated deeply within me; and, as I read her account, I had the sense I was hearing truth spoken, finally! I was recently privileged to hear Ms. Danison speak in person and found her personal account of her profoundly life-changing experience surprisingly candid and honest, thus, very credible - a woman who needed to do something with the knowledge she was given during her incredible journey and in so doing, she's become God's Messenger. This is a book I will return to over and over again.

this is one of the best explanation of the runes i have found so far...I have enjoyed this book greatly and often refer back to it.

This is fairly typical of the inexpensive mass-market New-Age manuals available. It may be a handy booklet on divination, but it has little connection to the historical runes. It could just as well substitute any set of symbols and do the same job.

Anyone following the Northern Traditions will be disappointed, perhaps even offended. The author follows Blum's lead in creating a superficial divination system complete with the spurious "blank rune". She adds a little influence from other New-Age rune writers, but makes no effort to access the wealth of interesting and powerful historical information that can be found in a university library, or even on the Internet these days. The 3 main rune references she cites are Blum, Fitch, & Conway, need I say more?

Some may find the book handy for its techniques, but if you want useful information on runes, you will need to look elsewhere.

This is a great simple pocket-guide to the Runes.This paperback is an excellent primer for all new Rune students,as i once was.So,if you're a more serious divination student,you will quickly move on from the basics presented here.The next forward step would be ,"The Little Giant Encyclopedia of Runes",by Sirona Knight and later the Thorsson series.The"Blank Rune Debate" is a difficult one to side with.There are the faithful Rune Traditionalists and also the creative New-Age Runestres among us.This book is still a good one.You also might read,"Gods and Myths of the Viking Age",by H.R. Ellis Davidson,for an excellent look at who created the Edda Prose and the lasting Runic gift of heathen communion with Nature.-Enjoy!

This interpretation just didn't do it for me. The interpretations of each rune felt inconsistant, more like a compilation of other people's interpretations. This is not to say that another person wouldn't find just what they need in this book. It just didn't click with me.

This book has a fairly decent (but short) description of the divinatory meanings of the runes, with some brief sections on their magical uses. One thing that bothers me is her inclusion of the blank rune, which is clearly a relatively modern addition which *some* prefer to use, but which most historical purists reject. That said, I still reference it when I want a fairly quick reading, because she does have a decent amount of insight on the modern implications of rune castings - especially when it comes to elaborating on certain runes appearing in combination with others.

This is the second time I buy this book - it's simple yet very informative, great illustrations and clear for people who have no previous knowledge of chakras

The handbook would be a great first book for someone unfamiliar with chakra work while still being informative and useful to the experienced "student".

I like this book because it contains a CD with meditation drum rythms that allow you to connect with your power animal and because it covers every aspect of having a power animal in your life: helps you find it and then communicate with it. What I don't like about this book is the fact that it is way too short and brief. For example, Farmer writes that it's not good to talk about your power animal with other people because it's disrespecful and you can risk diminishing the power you receive from it. Well, I understand the concept, but I just don't get it exactly. I'll do as he suggests, but I'm going to do some research on my own to get to understand this more.
Regardless, I am glad to have this book in my library. I am new to power animals that's why I feel the need to know more than what is written in this book. Here is the list of power animals:

This small book may not cover all possible power animals, but it is very well done. I'd recommend it.

This is an easy-to-use guide to finding your own power animal and identifying other animal guides to help you on your journey. It offers a wide range of animals, not just those familiar to Native American Culture. I'd recommend it for those who are beginning their search.

I would have given it 5 stars if it has covered more animals in the wild.

But I like how Steven Farmer presented the info. It is so much easier to find the info you need since he made them into 4 sections as follow:
1. Your Power Animal's Message for You,
2. the qualities/ potentials in you if your power animal is, eg. an owl,
3. When to ask for your power animal's help,
4. How to access its power.

My book came with a shamanic journeying CD which I have only tried a few times. I prefer to meditate instead of journeying and the music actually distracted me or limited the length of time I have in interacting with my power animal. But that's just me.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who wish to get to know their power animal better or access its power.

I bought this book with much enthusiasm after reading reviews since I wanted to study more about power animals and be able to share some information with others. Well, there are no water animals except "whale", "dolphin" and "seal" so when we looked up fish, crab, octopus, and frog, we found nothing. My power animal is the cockatoo - well, there was not even parrot to look up. Bottom line, there are only 36 animals with information. For those of you who believe in totem animals and power animals, you know that for each person, there may be several animals to look up. This book is not for those who are looking for a complete selection (obviously, within each species you find so many but it would be nice to at least list the main categories).

A power animal or spirit animal is a spirit in animal form that comes through with a specific lesson for you, and will change throughout the course of your life."
