Ever had the hair stand on the back of your neck. Ever felt an uncomfortable feeling somewhere gave you, not knowing why? Ever wonder what people mean when they say "trust your gut"? This is a must read! It could open your eyes to the little things that protect you and those you care about.

It is an extremely well written book. Jock explains the abilities that we all have, it is just a matter of being sensitive enough to be in tune with it. I have been looking for a book like it for years! He even gives you exercises to improve your ability. It is an amazing book and I highly recommended it! It can open your eyes and change your life.

Seen and Unseen, Excellently combined techniques!

It was very refreshing to read a book full of esoteric concepts that can easily be incorporated into daily life. The author speaks to you clearly and in a concise manner which is quite an accomplishment when describing things that sit outside of the first five physically tangible senses. For many years via different vocations he has put all of his senses to the test and gives great examples of real world situations were he was able to stay free from harm. There is a clear emphasis in this book that all of our senses work wonderfully together with the sixth sense often being the most pivotal in critical situations. Outside of being caught in the heat of an issue, he demonstrates that growing in tune with the messages your intuition reveals on a regular basis can help you avoid trouble even before it manifests (or you walk into it willy-nilly). Considering the wide range of topics that are covered, I sense this will be a great reference book for me if in the future I become involved in situations that are not currently in my sphere of experiences. The value of coming away from this book with a greater sense of personally driven empowerment has made it a tremendous gift to myself.

An astounding read from start to finish

Of course, the title of this book is intriguing enough, but what really caught my attention is the subheading: How to remain safe in a hostile world. So my attention was then drawn to read the back where I discovered that Brocas, formerly a top security consultant as well as personal body guard, has been taught and is now a teacher in the ways of Ninjitsu and the Samurai, and is also an experienced psychic medium. Immediately, I knew that this was not going to be your average book about developing your psychic abilities. Brocas has put together a book that is very interesting and current, separated into three parts: commonsense, risk and intuition. Each part ups the ante on the previous by delving deeper into one's innate psychic ability and proving to us that the ability is always there for us to realise and use to our advantage. This is a great way for us to develop a trust of our inner voice when we are confronted or threatened. A very interesting book that is timely for a generation where threat levels are at their highest.

Jock has written an essential book for those who find themselves in some of the world's most dangerous places. Prior to reading Jock's book I had an inclination as to the power of the mind in alerting one's self to danger, but I'd yet to harness or truly understand that power. I've spent an extended amount of time in a particular war zone, occasionally alone or with a very small group of trusted people. I'm absolutely sure that it was that "sixth sense" that kept me alive and unscathed throughout those adventures. Over time and through experience I intuitively learned to trust my instincts, and they've never let me down.

When I came across Jock's book, I was blown away to find that someone had actually studied and mastered this mental phenomena. Upon reading the book I discovered validation of things I'd thought with respect to one's sixth sense, but could hardly express myself. Simply put, he's taken me to the next level. Now that I have a deeper understanding and trust of my senses, I feel far more confident in making what can amount to critical decisions affecting myself and the lives of others.

Lastly, I have to say that although Jock's teachings definitely apply on the ground in some obviously scary places, they equally apply to life in your average big city anywhere in the world. Stay alert, develop and trust your senses, listen to Jock, and you'll be good to go.

I found the book Power of the Sixth Sense to be a very well written work on a little known part of self defense. The information most people study on the physical side of defense is important, but is made vastly more effective by adding the ideas laid out in this book.

Both psychology and new age libraries will find much of interest in AWAKENING THE ENERGY BODY: FROM SHAMANISM TO BIOENERGETICS. It uses science from bioenergetics to study the ebb and flow of body energy and draws important connections between psychology and physical matter, and uses the author's Toltec tradition studies to reinforce the possibilities involved in body energy understanding.

Change is so much more than an instantaneous surface reconstruction. Real change is deeper and far more complex. Moreover, as the new change is integrated into the system, it becomes permanently ingrained.

Awakening the Energy Body is based upon Toltec traditions as presented in the author's other works on Toltec philosophy. Above all, imagination and becoming open to new possibilities are key to growth. However, once new ideas are introduced they have to be actualized through a process of orientation, training, craftsmanship, artistry, and mastery.

Awakening the Energy Body is quite an in-depth dense book. It is definitely not a Sunday afternoon read. Still the information is enlightening and well worth the effort.

For many Christians, God has taken a backseat to their lives, but "Excuse Me, Your God is Waiting" is here to help them fix this spiritual problem and to introduce God into each part of life, be it in solving their problems, celebrating, or just getting through the day and looking towards the next. Promoting a better life and spiritual happiness through a more complete oneness with God, "Excuse Me, Your God is Waiting" is a must for Christian studies collections and for anyone who thinks they can improve their life if their bond with God were greater.

A Relevant, Ancient-Age Journey for Mystics of Any Faith

Many of us have an impersonal relationship with someone else's version of God. Michelle helps us create our own life adventure to find, know and relish the very personal relationship we can have with Our Own God. In return, like any healthy partnership, Our God helps us discover and cherish our True Self.

Michelle opens her life experience about how she was able, with Her God's help, to let go of organized religious systems, symbols and images of the, "...angry male authoritarian God with a long white beard, piercing eyes and a stern face...", who, because of her immense spiritual hunger, wanted her to be a nun. Instead she describes a relevant, vibrant, ever-growing, stretching, expanding relationship with her God who is her devoted teammate - not because of what she does or doesn't do - but because of who Her God is: Love.

With an extensive professional background in business and personal coaching, she weaves brief exercises, questions, and thoughts to ponder throughout the book to help us learn, un-learn, re-learn, and generate A HA! insights to define and create our own lives with Our God.

Caution: This book will gently challenge and nudge away beliefs, images, or systems that are keeping you from your Birthright - a life, a self, and a God of your own. Michelle makes it far too easy for us to do what we crave: To receive love from our God, to learn to love our Selves, and to powerfully create the love we want in our lives.

A wonderful book

Michelle helps you to get back in touch with God in a spiritual way. She walks you through all the baggage we have about God and helps strip it away to the essence of God talking directly to you personally. This book is a must read to establish the lost connection to God, and deepen the relationship.

I bought this book because it was supposed to be one of the first books you might read about Scientology. However, I found it to be very esoteric and abstract. I can't imagine this as a beginner's book to Scientology. Instead, it should be advertised only to advanced philosophers of thought and mental gymnastics. Not a good read, in my opinion.

Great book!

What's best about this book is the way it's laid out - very simple and practical information a person can use right away and see if Scientology works for themselves.

One very interesting part of the book deals with how life can be viewed as a game, composed of freedom, barriers, and purposes, and somewhere during reading this chapter things just seemed to go "click" and life became a lot simpler for me.

This new edition makes it a lot easier to understand the book with a comprehensive glossary and easy-on-the-eyes layout. I definitely recommend it.

I, by no means am a literary critic. I am just your average spiritual mom, who does believe in the Indigo phenomenon. My personal review of this book is as follows: I'm not really sure if this book is Ms. Condron's story telling anecdotes to reminisce about the past or to publicly brag about her supposed "Indigo" child. Most children are brillant and special. They see life through eyes that are untainted and of course they will have thier own unique point of view, as we all did when we were young. Other than attempting to wordsmith our parenting skills, I found nothing of significant value in this book that I didn't already know. As parents, it is our job to develop our social and mental skills around each of our children's unique personalities, it is necessary for our children to grow and develop a mutual respect for parents and all who enter thier lives. Although research and book reading on Indigo children is nice to know and have, I don't think this book is one of the "essentials" for your collection.

Interesting how if Winston Churchill were a child today he would be a prime candidate for Ritalin or Concerta or Strattera ... or whatever ADHD drug is out there. So would the likes of Werner Von Braun, Richard Branson, Charles Schwab, Thomas Edison, John F. Kennedy, and all sorts of brilliant men who made their mark on the world.

The increase in drugging children for being "out of the normal template" is a crime and tragedy. Indigo children are especially prone to being poisoned because of their inner authority, independance, and innate intuitive instinct for deception they are more than willing to speak out against. The only difference between a prescription and a poison is dosage. Younger and younger children are being drugged because their parents blindly believe a doctor. Medical intervention is a neccessity but no drug is a cure all magic pill. A prescription is just one line of defense is treating a condition. Cognitive therapy and other psychological methods can address what a drug cannot. It is a multi-line of defense.

This book is a wonderful tool for parents who want to know the alternative to a drug. I can't sing its praises enough. Drugging a child is a mask for emotional problems that are the root of problem behavior. And really ... it's a parent's duty to fight for their child. I recommend this book for all the mothers and fathers who want to do all they can to bring out the best for the son or daughter who needs them.

The next time someone says a child is difficult ... try to see the other side. Brilliance has its beauty and its rambucious side.

I am a parent as well as a visual art teacher for grades 1-8 at a public school in Colorado. I have observed many unique qualities and characteristics among the wide range of children I teach. The common theme is that a new profile of child is emerging into our world and traditional ways of educating them are outdated. The Indigo Child is unique in that they are alive, fresh and unincumbered by rules, regulations and fitting into a package that is not them. However, Indigo's desire guidelines and respect and have a keen sense of receiving authenticity and sincerity. Dr. Condron's book focuses on the need to teach reasoning skills and goes beyond by detailing how it can be taught. Her voice outlines the process using multidimesional techniques which are what the Indigo's reach for. I have not found a comprable process elswhere. Dr. Condron's book elevates our consciuosness to be more purpose driven in the how's and why's of educating our children. You'll discover this in the 10 Essential Life Skills she details in How to Raise An Indigo Child. It's a must read for potential parents as well as educators. My parenting and teaching skills have expanded to be more thought and purpose centered. Thanks for your years of dedication, research and service.

I bought this for a family member when he started to remember some things that had happened to him as a child. I have known so, so many people who have been hurt sexualy either from someone they new or a stranger. I was with him on a road trip as he listened to the whole thing. There were some really good things I even gained from it, especially at the end. The last 2-3 segments had some interesting things to say about the kinds of conversations that arise with just raising children as they work out the way they discover attraction through thier parents at an early age. The author talked about how to find ways to speak to those signifigant moments in a child's unfoldment supportively, and in a healthy way.
As for my friend, he found them useful yet rudimentary. He felt the author could have dealved deeper.
Mind you, that even the author talked about not using just the CDs, but that some kind of therapy was neccessary. I too agree, having worked amongst people who discover this and then go forward to do deeper work. The CDs give you a starting point to begin navigating such stormy waters that can often leave one feeling very alone! People who care about you, won't encourage you to bury it, to forget, but to work out the anger with support in a safe and healthy way. Those feelings of betrayal are soooo powerful, along with not feeling safe! There is no hurry, Gentle steps beloved soul, gentle.

Like his first work, which goes into much more detail, this audioCD focuses on body processes. One is encouraged to stay with the body and trust the flow of energies and creating safe spaces. The excercises are simple but powerful. They are general body excercises, not specific to localized sexual trauma. Far more excercises on this audioCD than anecdotes. Sometimes I felt the excercises are a kind of filler. Don't know how that applies to the book. Keep that in mind as you make a choice around getting this. The model he gives around developing sexuality is strictly heterosexual within an intact nuclear family. I find this shocking and inexcusable in this day and age, and even dangerous given the large number young gay kids who are even more vulnerable to the cycles of neglect and abuse in developing their boundaries. Of course, a main trauma anecdote is grandfather to grandson. The client/grandson uncovers the trapped energy and is able to work through his initial fears. Presumably, he has fully recoverd because his the newly released sexual energy is fully transfered back onto his wife. If you are going to create a heterosexual model of child's sexual development, can't you at least stick to heterosexuality in your anecdotes. Obviously, there are huge blind spots here. Makes my blood boil, speaking of body processes. Thankfully, this audioCD is really not about how sexual trauma relates to sexual development or current social and cultural dynamics. I give it four stars because it succeeds in it's main purpose, which is to give simple and effective "neutral" tools for working with the body.

An Inspirational Tale

Review Date: 2007-10-10
The title of the book, which became Mr. Sayers' credo throughout life, comes from a quote he saw on the desk of one of his coaches: "My God is first, my friends and family are second, I am third." Mr. Sayers tells the story of a man who lifted himself out of the ghetto with such a love for football, his friendship with Brian Piccolo (one of the very first pairings of a black player and a white player in the NFL) and his near-career ending injury. It is an inspirational story that does not get preachy. He tells of his friendship with Brian Piccolo without getting maudlin (Mr. Sayers and Mr. Piccolo were loyal friends and deeply respectful of each other.) He relates his triumphant return to the Chicago Bears after a knee injury that had almost everyone writing him off (except Mr. Piccolo, who urged him on during rehabilitation.) It almost seems as if Al Silverman turned on a tape recorder and let Mr. Sayers talk. Rather than being pretentious, the way a lot of sports biographies are one gets the feeling that Mr. Sayers is sitting down in an easy chair and is talking directly to each reader. The book, however, was written more than thirty-five years ago and ends before Mr. Sayers' final two (albeit disappointing) seasons. My hope is that Mr. Sayers will either update this book or write a sequel to tell us of his successes after football.

I am third
By Gale Sayers

Devon Hurley

My book is called I am third and itýs written by Gale Sayers. The price of the book is $...and u can find this book in any book store.
I am third is about the football player gale Sayers .He plays football with his friends every day. He grew up in a poor house with barely any food. That didnýt stop him from playing football though. He played no matter what. One time he tried to tackle some one and he got kicked in the mouth and he was spiting out blood his brother played football too. He was older then Gale. Gale was a starter on the high school football team with his brother he only got to play with his brother one season because he was a senior when Gale was a freshman. Gale was a good player. He was like1st or 2nd best in the country. He wanted to go to a four year college to play football. Mississippi State was in other sports besides football like track and basketball. He broke the long jump record for track. His mom and dad were always working on something. Galeýs dad was tall and had long legs. His dad worked hard every day and only got 40 dollars a day. His mom was at home watching all the kids. All the kids in the neighbor hood were on the football team. After gale went to college he was going to go to the pros either the chiefs or the bears. on draft day the Chicago bears picked Gale Sayers the first day of summer training he met Brian piccolo. Brian was a white person and Gale was a black person they didnýt really get along at first of race but after they started playing together. The coach put them in the same room partner. When gale was voted rookie of the year Brian starts to get sick and has to go to the hospital and he finds out he has cancer and has to stay in the hospital for the rest of the season. Later he goes home and is recovering but he gets cancer again a in his chest and dies from cancer. later gale plays the best game of his career he scores 6 touchdowns.

This review is on the book called "I Am Third". In this book it tells mostly about Gale Sayers' football career and some of Brian Piccolo's or Pic. The reason this book is called "I Am Third" is because he says that "God is 1st,my friends are 2nd,and I am 3rd". To understand this book you might have to know a little about football. If you like football stories I would reccomend you read "I Am Third".
