This CD set is excellent. I think everyone should hear it or read it. I've tried some of the process and it does work.

Abraham-Hicks does it again!! If you want to evolve in your relationships, happiness, financial independence, and love, then this is the book for you!

At first glance, this book seems to repeat what all the others in the series have said. However, the variety of ways the author approaches the same concept is surprisingly refreshing and thought provoking. If you have read other books by the author and couldn't understand the whole concept of the Law of Attraction (i.e. you can't put it into practical use), this book will definitely be helpful.

I think the philosophy behind this book,wheather accurate in reality or not,will have a positive effect on any reader.

This information is fabulous and has assisted me with making my life better, easier and more fun every day. Life is great when I allow myself to go with the flow of well being. Give it a try!

I never thought I would want to read a book like this, but after seeing Tori's reality show (yes I got sucked into that too) I wanted to read it and it was a really great read...it gives a great peek into a life that you hear about via the media...but this was her perspective and helps one understand who she is now and how her life isn't at all what you would assume.

This book was exactly what I was hoping it would be...full of details and lots of personal insights. I will read her next book! More 90210 gossip, please!

I really Enjoyed this book Tori is funny and honest.She is a down to earth person which a lot of other celebrties should take a cue from her.Tori is a strong independent woman she may have a famous father but she has proven she can get things done on her own and in her own terms.She has struggled with her relationship with her mother and has learned from this relastionship not what to do with her own children.This book I have recommened to all my friends and family and thjey all loved it and so will you enjoy

This book by Tori Spelling was absolutley fantastic I read the whole thing in less then 6 hours. It was uplifting, funny and at times a bit sad. It really gave me a chance to know not just the actress that Tori is but her as a person and what a wonderful person she is. This book is a **** (four star) in my book anytime:-)

Could not put the book down and I'm a bigger fan now more than ever. Looking forward to the next book.

I was hoping this book would totally WOW me since I have read great reviews about it. Most of the things you will find here are things you already know, things you could read anywhere (an inspirational quote in a bookmark). I'm glad I didn't spend a lot on this book. I was bored and uninspired.

This is a great product. You can give it as a gift, keep it to be past on to your children and so forth. It is a very inspiring item. I can account for many of the things in there. A must buy.

I've seen the DVD version of THE SECRET, but had never actually
read the book (with the same title) by Rhonda Byrne.

So I was delighted to be able to listen to the above when a friend
lent me her CD tapes . . . if you're not familiar with the premise,
it is about something called the Law of Attraction . . . in essence, it says
like attracts like . . . you can get anything in life you want if you are open
to receiving it in a positive fashion . . . the key is to avoid negativity.

When reading or listening to the book, you may not think there's much
to it . .. the same message seems to keep repeating itself . . . and
though there's an impressive list of authors/consultants who are
cited (among them Jack Canfield, John Gray, Bob Proctor, and
Rev. Michael Beckwith), what they have to say at times comes
across a bit choppy.

However, I carp . . . let me instead share just a few of the powerful
Insights that I gained from listening to THE SECRET:

* Whatever thought is in your mind, you're attracted to it.

* See yourself living in abundance, and you will attract it.

* What you think about most will appear as your life.

* It's impossible to be feeling bad and having good thoughts at the
same time.

* If you praise and bless your enemies, you will feel your attitudes shifting.

* We'll never run out of things because life is me ant to be abundant.

And this one that I've been thinking about ever since I finished
THE SECRET:

* You are not your past. Whenever I reflect on book long after I've finished it, I know that's a winner for me . . . that's the case with what Byrne had to write; I still find myself thinking about it even as I type this review!

Audio CD is easy to listen to. Ms. Byrne has a perfect voice to carry the message across.

This was quite helpful while taking a journalism course. It takes a few minutes to understand the layout of the book to lookup things, but once you get it, it's easy.

I think this book helped raise me a letter grade in my course. Anyone taking a journalism course with a strict professor or planning on entering journalism should get a copy. My textbook had a reference in it, but it was quite small. With the low cost of this book, you can't go wrong.

If you're taking the course without an intent to go into journalism, check to see if you can use copies from the department first.

I have used the AP Stylebook for over 5 years. The entries are easy to find and easy to understand. Entries are brief and to the point. Are the seasons capitalized? How about north, south, east and west? Where do you place adverbs - before or after the verb, or someplace else? It's Web site - two words and the first one is capitalized. Internet is capitalized because it's a proper noun.

This book has the definitive answers. I don't work for a newspaper anymore, but, as a freelance writer, I miss this book more and more everyday. I must get my own. You will never be sorry that you bought this book. It will help you no matter what kind of writing you do.

I have YET to receive my book, its been weeks. I am very unhappy with amazon for the second time in a row.

The issue with this book is not that it is not relevant or useful. To the contrary, it is much too relevant to be left on the shelf. It needs to be published and indexed in an electronic format that can be quickly searched and accessed by writers under deadline.

The stylebook can be read front-to-back as a condensed general knowledge tome.

Makes a great gift, especially for people stumped by the basics of professional writing.

I got exactly what I wanted--an up-to-date version of a standard to replace the one I have had for years. I particularly appreciated the section on media law--many changes have taken place in the past few years, as the media landscape has changed. Journalists or writers will find knowledge in this area to be especially helpful.

I haven't actually used this product in class yet as I'm just getting my books together for the fall semester but I have looked it over and it looks to be very informative of business law with examples and definitions etc. I can't however say it is or will be a pleasure to read I bought it because it's required for my business law class not because I wanted to.

This book is genuine and real. Also easy to follow. I will be following the program for quite some time, as I have a lot of weight to lose.

I am a registered nurse and this is by far the best book on the topic of waist managementthat i've read so far. Really wonderful ilustrations too. I would recommend it to any serious and diet conscious individual.

Outstanding You: Discover, Design and Achieve Ultimate Fitness

Perhaps the most important aspect of fitness is understanding your own body. This book provides another perspective on dieting. For that reason, I recommend at least reading it for the different viewpoint you may pick up. I rated it high because I find the more information, the better. Even if you decide not to use some, most or all of the information in the book, it's good to have that information anyway. The fitness field is largely unregulated - and diets are constantly going and coming. Only you can know what's best for you - and the only real way to do that is to learn as much as you can.

You: On A Diet doesn't just lay out a diet plan, but addresses what goes on when we eat and the various chemicals in our bodies that effect our behaviors and body shape.

Part 1 is a sort of introduction to your body.

Part 2 is about appetite, your digestive system, inflammation, body fat, metabolism, and exercise. If you have ever wondered how food acts in your body and how food can effect how you feel and whether you store fat or burn it, this is the section for you.

Part 3 focuses on how your mind effects your diet - emotions and psychology.

Part 4 outlines the actual You diet and exercise plan and has a whole chapter about staying on plan by making "YOU-Turns" whenever you fall off the plan (and who sticks 100% to any diet 100% of the time?).

The appendices cover medical intervention - drugs that cane help you lose weight, plastic surgery for saggy skin, and various bariatric procedures (stomach stapling, etc.).

Throughout the book are little cartoons that illustrate the points made in the text. I found these helpful even though I am not a visual person.

My main criticism is that they trot out the same old low-fat advice that hasn't helped America yet, and that they promote unhealthy vegetable oils. Neither do I believe that saturated fat is the enemy, though Mehmet and Oz do.

This book is a good start, but I urge people to go beyond this and read more about vegetable oils and saturated fat and see if Mehmet and Oz are right in their views or not. Personally, the only oils I allow in my house are olive and coconut. Yes, coconut oil is a saturated fat.

Excellent book, highly recommended for everybody who needs to understand how the body works and to start a healthy nutrition. Very good indeed.

I've only been through one chapter, but so far I am pleased with this book. It gives tons of examples throughout each chapter since tax accounting involves many unique situations to which you apply a set of laws (albeit constantly evolving laws). It's a great book for a Tax I course, the writing is easy to understand, and the problems at the end of each chapter really help you apply the important things.

Oh yeah, and it also shipped fast too!

I love reference books. I had an editing job that required me to have "15" so I had the perfect excuse to buy it. But what a difficult book to use. I had to check a few relatively easy things, and one or two obscure things. If the answer wasn't where I'd think it should be the book directed me elsewhere, an elsewhere where it was also difficult to find what I needed. It sure looks good, but....

Chicago Manual of Style is the authority for many writers and editors. The latest edition includes useful information for handling all aspects of citations involving Internet material.

This indispensable volume is one of the finest books written for writers and editors of all time. One of its nicest features is that it is actually a joy to read. I particularly enjoy this version due to its added usage guide. I eagerly anticipated its release (to the point of pre-ordering it) and have been well rewarded with its purchase. I would recommend it for anyone who wishes to do "well" instead of "good."

Produced by the University of Chicago Press, the "Manual" is a classic standard for all book endeavors. No need to review this One. It's a major work of scholarship, not only for scholarly documentation, but also for "book making" and "book publishing."

If you're a writer, then you'll need this book. I use it almost as much as my dictionary.

If you do legal work at home, this dictionary is essential to have there. As a law student, I have unlimited access to the Westlaw version of Black's, but there are a great deal of missing entries in that format. I have literally never tried to look up a word in the hardbound version without finding it--not so with the online or pocket versions. It is also an excellent citation source for basic legal facts, something you can't do with the internet version because of the lack of page numbers. Perhaps a little expensive for a student, but this sturdy, long-lasting volume will pay for itself by saving you time.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It will be used for a long time.

I am studing to become a Legal Translator at university in Argentina and this dictionary is one of the best I have ever been able to consult.

All law students must have this. It is a great help in learning the law language.
