The book was very informative but not one that i would just go out and buy if I did not have to.

Several years ago, while attending Emery-Riddle Aeronautical University, this book was used as our textbook for Aviation Law. To this day, anytime I get on the subject of Aviation Law, I recommend this book to anyone who holds an FAA certificate. I'm a Maintenance Supervisor for a major airline and have suggested it to my employees who have found themselves in less than desirable situations involving enforcement actions. They always come back to me with the same comment; "I wish I had read this book before I got into trouble." Learn from their mistakes - read the book before you NEED the book. It's short and to the point, you won't be sorry!

Now in a completed updated, revised and expanded second edition, Scott Hamilton's Practical Aviation Law provides complete, competent course for self-study or undergraduate study on how the legal system works with respect to aviation activities. With entertaining examples of aviation law in action, all of the recent changes to date in statutory and regulatory law are clarified, including international law. Practical Aviation Law is soundly recommended as a quick reference guide for aviation managers, private and professional aviators, flight cres, airline personnel, aircraft owners, air traffic controllers, air safety investigators, and the non-specialist general reader involved in aviation as a profession or hobby.

I'm a pilot not a lawyer and I have no connection with the author or the company. This excellent book explains in easy to understand language how the aviation legal system works (and doesn't work). The book tells you what steps to take or more importantly, not to take when dealing with the FAA or other aviation related parties. All pilots should read this book to learn how to protect your license.

The text book is very easy to read, and provides good information. It is a book that will be useful in the future. It includes information on each of the different state's rules and regulations for practicing as a practitioner.

One benefit of this book is that it contains articles, commentary, and discussion questions all in one text. It also covers a wide variety of issues, which is good since business ethics is a vast subject. On the negative side, I don't think the organization of the sections is the most effective way to approach the topic. The sections are organized based on a 1991 survey of CEOs in which the participants ranked their most important types of ethical dilemmas. As a result, there isn't the logical flow or progression of ideas from chapter to chapter that one might expect from a philosophy book. Unfortunately, the pragmatic interests of CEOs are not the same as the educational needs of students who are new to business ethics. There is also no discussion of ethical theories and no direct interaction between the articles. On the whole, this book may be beneficial if used in conjunction with a survey of ethical theories and ethical decision-making, but taken by itself it makes for a rather uneven introduction to business ethics.

This is the best math resource for elementary math. It is helpful to teachers, parents and students. Step by step examples are easy to understand. I have recommended this book to many of my students.

A sales rep gave me a copy of this book at a summer teacher workshop last year and I will not give this book up for anything! It has been a very valuable and useful tool for me to reference on countless occasions this past school year. The book has great illustrations, tables and an almanac. The charts are colorful and easy to read. I highly recommend this book for any teacher in the intermediate grades. It will not only help you keep your lessons fresh and make your planning time easier, it will also enable you to be an "expert" in mathematics in just a quick glance.

Excellent!! The book is very helpful in working with my daughter by supplementing her school work with concrete and fun methods.

This resource is a must have for any teacher or parent of students 4th grade and above. It takes abstract and basic math concepts and breaks them down into simpler steps for a clearer understanding. It makes a great companion to the resource "Math At Hand".

Evidence can be very difficult, especially Heresay
this book had over 100 MBE Mult Choice Question and answer, most of them dealt with Heresay. Very Very helpful,(along with law in a flash flash cards) I did every question, and reviewed the ones I got wrong.

Scored TOP GRADE IN THE CLASS ON MY FINAL>

This book contains 24 essay questions and model answers. In addition, it has 103 multiple choice questions that are similar to those on the multistate bar examination. Each question explains why the answer is correct and the other possible choices are wrong. The tricky hearsay exceptions were were explained.

As I knew her and her husband personally before and during their divorce, this venom does not surprise me. She is and always will be self-promoting and insecure. Do not believe that she was simply a victim and that her poor ex just "had it coming". Her career and talents are completely overblown. How sad to reduce your marriage to simple revenge and greed.

This book is amazing and every woman going through divorce should have a copy in her night table. It is a lifesaver and in my opinion the best book out there on divorce. I learned tips that even my divorce lawyer didn't tell me. I wish I had read this book even earlier because the pre-divorce plan the author sets out is probably some of the best advice I have heard. Even if you are thinking about divorce and want to protect yourself in your marriage, this book is extremely helpful. I was surprised at how much useful information was packed in the pages. I give it an A+.He Had It Coming: How to Outsmart Your Husband and Win Your Divorce

He Had it Coming is a wonderful planner - it lays out in clear and easy language how to prepare and plan for a divorce. The checklists are most helpful - from whether you are ready to leave him to what records you need to copy first. Part psychology and part law...one complete how to. Excellent.

It sounds like Bookman is an Angry Man and had a very bad divorce. I
read the book and I am a man and I thought the complete opposite of
what he said. Despite the title, the book is actually promoting
husbands and wives to get along, and was surprisingly good. It says for
the wife to be nice to the husband so there is always open
communication, especially when children are involved. As far as what
the author wrote about the advice huritng kids-- again I can't see
where he's coming from. It seems like the book is showing how to
improve dynamics, even through a nasty divorce. Even though I tried to
dislike the book, I actually wish the author would write the same book
for us guys. It was really easy to read and understandable and the tips
seemed insightful for the women.

This book is clearly aimed at increasing rather than reducing conflict in already problematic situations. Wirse off - the recommendations, when children are invloded, are likely to harm children in the short term and long term.

A friend provided this book to me and I had a hard time getting through it. Clealry aimed at - get all his money.

If you need advice on divorce, as a woman or a man, pick a book which provides solid advice in your best interest, your children's best intrest and does so with some dignity.

I found this book to be very instructional but dull in the reading. Also, a lot of repetition is involved, chapter by chapter. The mediator separates the chapter by topic but revisits the same cases. It would have been more logical to dedicate a certain case to a certain chapter even though that particular case involves different facets of mediation theory. I would grab the most important issue to a certain case and dedicate it only to one topic/chapter. This will be a lot more instructional and easier in the reading. Also, I found there to be some grammatical errors.

As a beginning mediator, I found this book very detailed and theoretical. I am sure that I will return to it again and again as I gain experience. I found "Basic Skills for the New Mediator (2d edition)" by Allan H. Goodman to provide a quicker and more practical overview. When used together, I believe both books are a good basis for the practicing mediator.

I love this outline- it hits all the major points and is a very good overview of the law. Only one problem- it needs to be updated- a lot of cases we have studied in class are not included because they are too recent.

Veterans's PTSD Handbook: How to File and Collect on Claims for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Highlights the pitfalls of applying for PTSD benefits. Good case history, with insights from a former VA benefit researcher. Easy read, good examples. This book would be especially good for someone who is trying to collect benefits who may not have a local support group.

Best I've seen dealing with this issue. The author writes with insight, and also, with deep concern for the plight of veterans suffering PTSD.

I'm sure the books are great; if I ever receive them. They have been shipped three times and I still haven't received them! The third time they were shipped they still went to the wrong address. Getting Amazon.com's customer support phone number has been like breaking the DeVinci code.

Veterans face many special challenges and obstacles in applying for benefits related to post-traumatic stress disorder - not the least of which is drawing connections between a veteran's service and the disorder whether in combat or noncombatant settings. That's why any collection strong in military resources - and many a general-interest lending library - needs THE VETERAN'S PTSD HANDBOOK: it packs in discussions of how to file a well-grounded claim for benefits, and comes from the four years the author spent helping one veteran establish a 'service connection' for his claim. Essential reading.
