Whoo! Hoo! This latest Ramsey saga kept me hyped up from the first page to the last! I can hardly wait for the next installment of this series. I could not put this book down until I finished reading the last page because of all the drama. Some questions were answered from the previous books but the drama is not over. Altonya has done it again!

For all the Ramsey family lovers out there this is the story of Moses Ramsey and Johari Frazier, a couple who found love years ago only to have it taken from them. Moses and Johari's story is twisted and tied into the secrets and scandals that are part of the Ramsey family and they hold a few secrets of their own. From page one to the very last page, A Lover's Worth is worth every penny you paid for it, every page it's printed on and every single day that we had to wait for it to be published. Once you pick it up, you won't put it back down until you have turned the last page.
For new AlTonya Washington readers, get this one and please go back and read her entire collection of work. Ms. Washington, has amazing talent for pulling you into a story and not releasing you until it's done. When it's over you want it to go on, and on, and on.

Ms. Washington has done it AGAIN! I found myself thoroughly CAUGHT UP in the Ramsey family, their circle of friends and their enemies. Every time I read about this family, I want more, more and more! The whole cast of characters, heroes and villains, are well developed and UNFORGETTABLE. With each new book she reveals SURPRISING twists and leaves you with new questions, that can ONLY be answered by completing this AMAZING series. IMO, "A Lover's Worth" has more action/adventure, and some seriously heart wrenching moments that will keep you turning the pages. As usual the Ramsey men are "SEXY AS ALL GET OUT" and extremely protective of the women in their lives. And Moses Ramsey is definitely no exception to that rule. EVERYTHING he does towards Johari Frazier, in his mind, is to keep her safe from not only the EVIL surrounding Marcus Ramsey and his circle of friends, but also to protect her from himself; and the man he thinks he is turning into, HIS FATHER. Moses' greatest fear is that he will hurt Jo in the same manner daddy dearest has hurt his mother. He's determined to put distance between them and that can only be achieved by breaking her heart. But once shocking circumstances are revealed, Moses is thrown back into Jo's life, and he is determined to reveal the truth to her and hope that she can forgive him and give their love a second chance. But Jo, has a dark secret of her own that she thinks will make Moses change his tune about wanting to recapture what they once shared. In the midst of all the turmoil surrounding Moses and Jo, Ms. Washington still thrills us with the intense fire and desire, that's still quite evident between this couple, creating some very HOT & STEAMY love scenes. 2009...WOW...I don't know if I can wait that long for this HIGHLY entertaining mystery/romance series to continue.

Kim Harrison creates a complete alternate world based on "What If" Something Huge happened that changed the our current events in a way that space flight and bio-enginering never happened. "What If" mankind shared the same space with beings straight out of our fairy tales and horror stories: you know un-dead or dead vampires, witches, werewolves, etc.; and, they were our lawful equals due to this Pandemic? Who, what, when, where, and how would we survive and co-exist. Enter Rachel Morgan, white witch, a mesmerizing loose cannon that in-thralls the reader with acts of great courage or thoughtless action as well as laughter; tears; supernatural horror; and, most of all wonder as to how did she possibley survive that. I intend to read all of Rachels adventures..she has througthly captured me.

I had accidentally picked up the second book in the series, having found it used. After the first 20 or so pages I was hooked, but I also realized that Harrison was referencing stuff that had happened in a previous book. After a little search, came across Dead Witch Walking and greedily read as fast as I could.
Right from the beginning Harrison drew me in with a Run involving Lucky Charms. Yup, you read that right. You know, like the cereal? Ha, this was and is great writing with a melding of a great story with contemporary insights thrown in. What does this do? It takes situations that we know of and are aware because of cartoons, stories, fables, poems, you name it. Lucky Charms? Vamps being staked? Pixies? Demons? Werewolves? Witches and Warlocks, Wizards and Sorceresses?
Nothing is off limit with Harrison as she touches on just about everything that is paranormal. And she does it with style, with nothing coming out cheesy or lame (okay, explanation needed: some seems cheesy but Harrison writes it in a way that makes it fun and believable and is an essential part to the storyline and Harrison's style of writing). Now one might wonder if she is merely re-writing what others have written, and I would have to say no. She changes the typical notions behind Vampires, their blood lust, their strengths and their weaknesses. How about what we would normally think of as a Witch and Warlock? Immediately we would assume that one is a man and the other is a woman, but Harrison changes this idea and makes it her own.
Harrison does this over and over again, constantly creating a story that is unique and fun, and definitely believable (if you can suspend your doubt about the paranormal). I am happy that I stumbled upon Harrison and now have a new fantasy author to look forward to. I can't wait to read the next in the series and whole heartedly recommend this book and author to everyone.

This novel was fun and silly and just want I want to blaze through in an airport and then hand off to someone else. No re-read required, but readable and entertaining at the same time. I need to get the rest of the series!! :) Or at least find them at my local library.

I am completely enthralled by this series! Yes, I know I've only read the first book. And yes, I know that a lot of it is pretty... well, cheesy. I admit this. But it's also a lot of fun. The characters are great, Rachael is really likeable, and it's been awhile since I read a book of this nature that didn't rely on romance (and, you know...) to carry it. And that was more of a relief than I was willing to admit. That's not to say there's no hint of it - Rachael is sassy and admits to being slightly driven by hormones - but it's not something that would turn off people who don't like romances. The main storyline's a cross between a fast-paced, mindless action story and a real mystery - one that doesn't have any sort of predictable ending. In fact, it doesn't have an ending at all! So be warned, unless you're the type to enjoy reading a series, stay away. This is only a one-off book if you can handle some loose ends to your stories. Okay, quite a few loose ends.
So if you're willing to overlook a few cliché ideas and a little bit of overused dialogue for a fun and enjoyable story, this one's for you. There are far more clever bits than boring bits, anyway (I adore the part about the Ever After). I'd say it reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris (minus the, ahem, 'adult' bits) and a little of the Sam Gunn series by Ben Bova. Vary conversational style to the narrative; it's very laid-back and pulls you into the tale. Plus, the characters are truly enjoyable. I can't wait to read the next one!

This book is part of the Wolf Breed series which is an offshoot of the Feline Breeds series. The Genetics Council used genetic experimentation to create humans with animal DNA, called Breeds. The Breeds were tortured, experimented upon and kept in captivity, but eventually escaped. The Council and other groups are trying to capture and/or kill them.
Dash is part wolf. He has spent twelve years in the army and Special Forces. Cassie selects his name as part of a school project to write letters to men in the services. They become pen pals. When he realizes that Cassie and her mother Elizabeth are in danger and living on the run, he takes a leave from the service to help them.
I recently read Death Angel by Linda Howard. It gave an excellent description of how Drea was on the run from bad guys. The author described many smart things that she did to survive, and many smart things that Simon did to find her. In Wolf Breeds, Elizabeth has been on the run for two years from bad guys. Dash has been searching for her for six months because he wants to help. The author doesn't tell me how the bad guys keep finding her or how Dash found her. I would have liked that, but I realize this is supposed to be more about erotic sex than a typical romantic suspense novel. However, I think it would have been easy to add a little more plot development and take away some of the "ponderings in the mind about what to do" that Elizabeth does early in the story and Dash does later in the story.
The first part of the story was better than the last part. The first part was meeting, finding, protecting, being on the run and developing a relationship. The last part was preparing and planning to get the bad guy.
There were fewer sex scenes than I expected, but they lasted several pages. There was a thread of anger or roughness to them. Since he is a Breed, Dash has a couple of physical differences from human males that occur during sex.
CAUTION SPOILER:
I was surprised and enjoyed Dash borrowing a military Hummer with night vision to travel with Elizabeth during a snow storm.
Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes six, some several pages long. Setting: current day U.S. Copyright 2004. Genre: erotic paranormal romance.

I am a sucker for the breeds series but particularly if it involves a child. All my protectiveness comes out as does Wolfe's. This is a man who as tries not to make friends. He considers himself a loner little does he know that all those acts of kindness has not gone unnoticed. He will need all those friends and allies to save Elizabeth and her daughter from the experimentation of the evil genetics' council. They are the ones that think of breeds as not human but animals. It was another great read. This story is a continuation of the breed series. Everyone has a preconceived notion of the coyote breeds, they are the merciless hunters used by the genetics council. This is not the case with Kiowa. He has been asked to keep an eye on the president's daughter. He is certainly unsuspecting that this is his mate. What follows is fast paced and riveting, as he tries to keep her safe from those who would kidnap her. Yes, anything that would keep a bill from passing that makes the breeds responsible for their own future.

I was very supprised by this book. I did not really expect a whole lot, to tell you the truth. I started it at about 7 in the evening and did not put it down until i finished it at 4 in the morning. I cried, a lot. It might have been the time (4am can be an emotional time apparently) but i was so suprised at how well Megan Hart was able to portray emotion. This is really one of the most touching and real stories i have read. I would have loved the book even without the graphic scenes. There was a real depth to the main charactor. I was totaly bowled over by this unexpected new favorite.
Just incase you are still reading this; The story starts out, interestingly enough, with a bedroom scene. Only as that scene ends do you find out that it is a retelling. The main charactor, Sadie, is a psychologist with a quadrapalegic husband who has struck up an unlikely and strange relationship with a man named Joe. You only know Joe through his stories of illicit affairs, one night stands, and hot encounters which he eloquently relays to our main charactor. These two people meet once a month. The rest of the time is filled in with Sadie's life as the wife, lover, and care giver for her quadrapalegic husband.
There were several conversations that took place in this book that i was able to relate to: Sadie's converstation whith her mother about how she (Sadie) needs to talk to her sister and help take care of her because Sadie is not the daughter she needed to worry about but the sister needed looking after. Sadie's converstaion with her sister where she explains her life and all of its unpleasantries and her sister finaly gets an idea of what Sadie has had to go through with her injured husband. The heart wrenching arguments with her husband that leave Sadie broken. (well titled book, by the way)
The greatest thing about this book was it was not about sex. It was about a woman who had a real life, who had real temptations, and who had real feelings. I like finishing reading something and feeling good about my life not wishing I had that charactors "happily ever after" life. This is not a "happily ever after" book. But it is one that is worth reading.

An extremely well written, unusual, hot book. It had more of a mainstream quality than many romances in that it didn't follow the usual romance novel formula. I do like the usual formula and at times wished this book did follow it because sometimes the realism detracted from the fantasy. But, that said, I was riveted throughout. I thought the sex (and there's plenty of it to satisfy readers of hot romance like me) was very well done and varied. And the story was touching. I know that's cliche, but this one really was. It was very, very believable. Thank you, Megan Hart, for writing this wonderful book!

The second book in the Breed series it's as interesting as the first.
After being wounded fighting, Dante ends in Tess Culver's veterinary clinic. He urgently needs blood, so he decides to drink from the pretty doctor, but when he does it, he realizes she's a Breedmate. This distresses him, and although he erases her memory regarding their meeting, Dante couldn't leave her alone. He's drawn to Tess, and she also appears in one of his visions of the future. To complicate this more, it seems her ex-boyfriend is involved in the business of Crimson, a drug that induces Bloodlust in a Breed and can lead him to be Rogue.
It's a story filled with action and a good love story.
I liked a lot the two lead characters. Dante is a complex guy, tortured by his dark visions of the future, his yearning for Tess, the problem the Crimson is causing in the Breed population. Tess, same as Gabrielle, is a strong woman who complements Dante perfectly. Thank you Ms. Adrian, for having strong female characters who are important in such a masculine atmosphere as the Breeds'.
Regarding the secondary characters, there's a very interesting new one, Sterling Chase. I hope he'll be in the next books, because I really liked him.
The next instalment is Tegan and Elise's story, a very promising book after what happens in Kiss of Crimson :)

I'm not going to make a resume of the plot, as there are other reviews in here that talk about it, and aslo you have Amazon's book description, so I'm going to tell you because I like this book. I like this book because, as well as the previous one, it's a dak book. The vampires have a beatly side, and they don't turn out into meeklings when they fall in love. They are still strong individuals, with their "darkness" still in them. And the females are also strong individuals, with interesting lives and that doesn't like to be thrown around. I really loved this book as i did with the previous one. I really recomend it ;-)

This is a wonderful, erotic, fun and exciting series. Yes, I could not help but compare it to J.W, BDB (Die hard fan here)there "TONS" of similarities...but she puts an interesting spin on the vampire world. I will also add the series only seems to get better.

Having loved all of J.R. Wards BDB books, I thought I would give these a try. They just don't compare. Nobody writes about angst ridden heroes like Ms. Ward. This just seemed like the author was jumping on the vampire band wagon. Her heroes were all weak imitations of J.R. Ward's. They didn't touch me at all. Maybe if I had read these before I read J.R. Ward, I would have liked them. I will just wait for J.R. Ward to give me my next vampire fix in June.

I recommend this book and the others of this author because I like romances. What more can I say? Obviously, I didn't put this on my Kindle reader for its historic value, or because it may be a classic one day. I travel quite a bit and it was a v-e-r-y entertaining read. If you are looking to improve your mind, etc., don't buy it; if you are looking to raise your blood pressure just a bit, GET IT! CeeCee

I will merely be repeating what other critics have pointed out: that Darcy's concerns seem remarkably feminine, that there is too much mundane detail, that the new characters and situations introduced are unhelpful and much less interesting than the original P&P. This one is the best of the trilogy, inasmuch as it finally (!) gets around to the scenes one really wants to see from Darcy's point of view: the tempestuous proposal, the confrontation between Wickham and Darcy, the showdown between snobby Lady Catherine and her nephew, and the "making up with Elizabeth" scene, which I must in fairness admit that I always thought a little bloodless in the original. (I know, I know, Miss Austen would hardly have written passionate kisses and dialogue -- but the "My wishes have not changed" line is really all Elizabeth gets. I wanted some bosom heaving at least. So, apparently, did the Bronte sisters, which is why we have the high drama of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. But I digress.) This book: not terrible, and still better than some fanfiction. It did make me walk around for a week using my faux British accent, which drives my kids crazy, so maybe it's not a complete waste of the paper it's printed on. If you've got rather a shorter attention span than can handle a trilogy, or hate seeing material changes to the original story, read Mr. Darcy's Diary instead.
Well done, a little dramatic

I enjoyed this series very much. It stuck to the Austen style and the essence of the characters. My only complaint is that it was a little over-dramatic with Darcy's inner pining, yearning, struggles about Elizabeth. It didn't seem terribly realistic.
But I enjoyed it well enough to buy it, so I give it four stars.

I read all three books in a week and this is by far the best of the three. Aiden does a good job of tying up loose ends. I always wondered who told Lady Catherine about Darcy and Elizabeth and Aiden paints a very believable scenario there. I also like seeing Darcy's cousin Anne given a little more fleshing out. It's also fun to see exactly how Darcy tracks down Wickham and Lydia. Aiden dredges up some of the nonsensical intrigue from "Duty and Desire". I guess she just can't pretend that she didn't write that piece of nonsense - I'm sure trying to. Once again, the servants play a major role in this book and I wish she would relegate them more to the background to keep with the spirit of the Austen book. Miss Darcy's religious fanatacism thankfully hasn't gone deeper. Book two had me thinking Aiden was going to have her become a nun in book three but thankfully that didn't happen. Overall this was very enjoyable read - I just wish Aiden would have included a scene where Darcy told Caroline Bingley to get over herself.
Would have liked it if it had been delivered!

In writing a trilogy based on perhaps literature's most beloved couple, Pamela Aidan faced a daunting task. While "An Assembly Such as This" promised a satisfactory fulfillment of that task, Aidan fell off track with the second book in the series "Duty and Desire", filling in the blanks with outlandish subplots. While the series actually reads better as two books, the first and the last, "These Three Remain" is an overlong examination of Fitzwilliam Darcy.
I must admit that it has been a while since I read the previous two books; as other reviewers mentioned, there seems to have been difficulty in procuring this third book. The story begins with Darcy's visit to his aunt, Lady Catherine DeBourgh at Rosings Park, where he unexpectedly runs into Elizabeth Bennet, who is visiting her good friend Charlotte Lucas. Darcy has just sworn to himself that he will give up thinking they have any future together, but when he encounters her he must admit his feelings and rushes into a proud and haughty proposal. As Austen fans well know, Elizabeth rejects him and he must come to terms with the portrait she has painted of him. He lives in little hope of regaining her favor, but her words have spurned him to become a better man.
Pamela Aidan has filled in some of the blanks about Darcy with some interesting theories, offering readers more insight into how he changed into a man Elizabeth might accept an offer of marriage from. The details concerning his involvement in the Wickham scandal ring true, as do the scenes with his sister Georgiana. Yet there is much that could be excised: unwelcome characters from "Duty and Desire" make an unnecessary reappearance slowing the story down. At times, Aidan reaches too hard to sound Austenesque, eschewing structure for more convoluted passages. When stripped to its bare bones, "These Three Remain" is a glorified romance novel, not unlike some of the tawdrier offerings other writers have offered in an effort to capitalize on Austen's creations. I will not wait around to find out what Pamela Aidan thinks happens to the Darcys with her proposed fourth book.

I have been reading Nora Roberts since I was a senior in high school. That was 4 years ago and I say she still has it. I recently started on the MacGregor series and I am ashamed of myself for not reading them earlier. This book of the series is my favorite as of yet. I still have two more to go though. But I do not think you will be disappointed and if you are looking for a good romantic book to crawel up with late in the night.

What more can I say? I have fallen in love with this family. From the 18th century clan to the present day, each generation's story is told in Nora Robert's most enchanting style. "Serena and Caine" is the story of two of the three offspring of our patriarch Daniel MacGregor and his wife, Anna Whitfield MacGregor. The first story in the book centers on Serena, Daniel and Anna's only daughter. Serena is out to find her niche in life by taking a break from her rigorous routine of professional student, taking graduate class after graduate class, by spending a year working as a blackjack dealer on a cruise ship. Just as her last voyage sets sail, unbeknown to her, her father has decided it is more than enough time for his daughter to settle down and begin a family of her own. Daniel plants the idea of a taking a relaxing cruise on the luxury liner, The Celebration, in the ear of his business associate, young Justin Blade, with the hope that he will meet up with his daughter (of course Justin doesn't know this) and the inevitable will occur. This story, as most all of the MacGregor stories go, is pure romance with lots of laughs and plenty of soap opera-type gimmicks by the characters. Justin and Serena do meet up and Justin is immediately attracted to her, not even knowing at first that she is Daniel's daughter. Of course Serena is not that easily swayed and when the truth does come out about her father's meddling, it only makes the relationship that much more rocky. As Serena decides they would be better business partners than lovers, she takes Justin up on his offer of a job in his Atlantic City casino, The Comanche. Of course Serena will not bow to working for him, she insists that she be a full partner and they work on equal ground. This scenario sets the groundwork for some terrific storytelling.
The second story centers on Caine, the younger son of Daniel and Anna. Caine, a Boston attorney, goes to visit his sister, Serena, and Justin at their casino and meets up with Diana Blade, Justin's estranged sister. Caine is immediately attracted to Diana, but Diana has a lot of soul-searching to do as she has led a somewhat sheltered life since the age of six years old when both her parents died and her older brother Justin, ten years her senior, left her with her well-to-do, snooty, Aunt Adelaide to be raised while he went out to raise money for his family. Diana grew up believing he deserted her and has lots of ghosts to deal with as Caine decides he wants her just as she is. Diana, being an attorney as well, has decided now is the time to strike out on her own, for the first time in her life, not being told what to do and how to act by her strict Aunt. This story is every bit as good as Serena's and, although romance is a high priority; the storyline is enchanting and holds the reader's attention to the very end.

This was such a wonderful book with so many beautiful characters, I was sad to come to the last page.
Sheriden lost her son almost a year ago. She quit writing the beautiful music that was such a large part of her life, and now spends her time drinking away the memories of her beautiful boy who had just left for college. She had a bad and quick marriage to Charlie's father, who she does not speak to. The one true love of her life Gavin, comes back to try to solve the mystery behind Charlie's death.
Nell had saved her money and hired the best Private Eye she could, that being Gavin. Nell lost the love of her life too when Charlie was murdered, "a mugging gone bad" in NYC where she had planned to join him after her senior year of high school. She is not going to NYU anymore, and with college looming, she just needs answers to what and who has taken her Charlie away.
Jack is Nell's dad and he has an unlikely love in Stevie (the recluse author from Beach Girls), who is now pregnant with Jacks baby, Nell's future brother or sister. Jack is a traditionalist, an architect. He is miffed that Stevie will not accept his marriage proposal to make them all a real family. After being down the aisle 3 times prior and having them all fail, she just cannot do it again...and if they love each other, why do they have to be married any way?
Agatha and Bunny are around as well. Sheriden's sisters who are sure they can work their magic to get Sheriden to give into her feelings for the only man she has ever loved. Gavin is promising her answers to Charlie's death, but Charlie is gone and answers will not change that.
All of the character's are so well developed, this is a wonderful read. I could not give it five stars due to some redundancy in the story telling that I feel an editor should have caught, but I did really love this book.

One year may have past since Charlie died in what the New York police determined was a random act; however, his mother singer/songwriter Sheridan still grieves her loss, numbing her pain with Wild Turkey. Joining her in mourning is Charlie's girlfriend Nell who has worn a ragged anklet cloth he gave her 350 plus days ago just prior to the lethal mugging. Both women who adored Charlie visit his gravesite in Hubbard's Point, Connecticut regularly.
Nell has doubts about the NYPD rush to judgment that her beloved was in the wrong place at the wrong time due to a bad luck occurrence. She needs to prove the cops wrong, but understands this is real life not fiction so an amateur is not successfully sleuthing. Instead she hires private investigator former Hubbard's Point native son Gavin Dawson to uncover the truth of what happened to Charlie. Gavin has an extra incentive as his beloved Sheridan tossed him to the curb for his youthful out of control lifestyle; he prays maturity and solving the case will give him a second chance with Sheridan.
The return to Hubbard's Point (see THE PERFECT SUMMER, SUMMER'S CHILD and SUMMER OF ROSES) is an exciting investigative romance with a touch of the paranormal and a feel of homecoming (appearances by former stars) although mourning is everywhere. The inquiry raises some intriguing questions related to Charlie's death, but though driven by a personal cause Gavin struggles to affirm premeditated. However, the key to the tale is Sheridan whose grief is so strong that her melancholy seems to be overwhelming Gavin's attempts for a second chance at love. LAST KISS is a deep character driven thriller.

If you're looking for a unique set of characters, a mild mystery and spicy sexual tension, you've come to the right place. Louisa Brannigan has the most obnoxious and rude neighbor. He steals her morning paper, parks in her spot and his phone rings at all hours of the night. Despite all of his flaws, Pete Streeter is a fine male specimen, and that is what creates such an internal battle for Louisa. When her car is demolished by a bunch of thugs and she loses her job as a Congressional aid to Senator Nolan Bishop, she teams up with Streeter to get to the bottom of the conspiracy that led to it all. A missing pig! Filled with flirtation, a simple plot and zany mystery, Janet Evanovich gives her fans a very enjoyable read. A precursor to the successful Plum series, Naughty Neighbor contains all the aspects that make Evanovich such a successful writer and a pleasure to read: a sassy female lead, a chauvinistic yet sexy male, a simple mystery and sexual tension spread throughout the pages. Naughty Neighbor is a quick read, perfect for the beach or a night alone. Valerie Jones mrsvaljones@netzero.net

Louisa Brannigan lived a quiet orderly life until the morning her neighbor Pete Streeter stole her morning newspaper. Tired of him taking advantage of her whether it was parking in her parking place, hogging the community laundry room dryer, or the obnoxious calls in the wee hours of the morning, but the last straw was his theft of her paper. She knocked loudly on his door yelling at him in the process, and he chose to ignore her. Furious that he could totally disregard her, she grabbed her broom and started banging on the ceiling. When Pete went to confront Louisa, he found her door wide open and walked right in to settle her down. He was stunned by how attractive she was, as was she because she was expecting some neanderthal.
When Louisa and Pete found themselves being shot at that night, he quickly pulled her under his protection, but circumstances only got worse from there. He was attacked in his apartment in the middle of the night, and she was fired from her job as press secretary to Senator Noland Bishop just because she knew Pete. Feeling that something was smelly in Washington, he convinced Louisa to help him investigate. Pete thought it would be interesting to base his next screenplay on because he could just feel a scandal waiting to be uncovered. He just hoped he could keep Louisa safe, and in the process convince her that they were perfect for each other.
I have read most of her earlier works, and this is the best of them. Louisa is a very funny character, and was perfectly paired with Pete. They are charming together.

I read this books way back when they first came out in the early 90's and was overjoyed to find they had been reissued, although I wish they would have been reissued separately instead of in an omnibus edition. The original Vampire Diaries trilogy is brilliant: fast-paced, clever, and well-written, culminating in a climax that will leave the reader with pulse racing.
The epilogue, Dark Reunion, was, unfortunately, a let down. I would recommend reading the original trilogy and skipping on the entirety of the fourth volume - it's muddy and lacks the spark and clarity of the first three. Trust me, you're not missing out on anything.
Definitely worth reading, however, if you are looking for something to page through while waiting for Meyer's next Twilight book to be released.

Ok so I can't actually tell you I hated the first part because the books are well written, but once you get to the second book you'll see. They build this story up and then all of the sudden its from Bonnies point of view I mean are you kidding its even worse when you see the reason for the change in point of view. If he had not changed the point of view it would have been an amazing book oh well he sucks though. First part was good and you might as well buy it so ok just don't get too excited by the end.
Must Read!

I loved this book. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes fantasy and vampire novels. It's the second volume in a series so make sure you read the first one beforehand. I couldn't put it down.
Excellent!

I read the first three books after finding them at my old school library years ago. And I must admit, I ALMOST didn't read them and that is mainly because I thought the covers looked old and boring. Of course, there is the old rule: "Never judge a book by its cover!" I'm so glad I did decide to read them! I fell in love with "The Vampire Diaries" series after reading them the first time. I reread them again and again, checking them out more than once just to read them over and over!
Later I found the fourth one, and it's just as great as the others! The fact that Bonnie was the main character made it even better, as she is one of my favorite characters.
If I hadn't read "The Vampire Diaries," I would have never known about this great writer and her wonderful books!

I really really liked the Fury but really didn't get into the Dark Reunion. I think The Dark Reunion left more open doors then if it would have ended at The Fury. Was there more to Meredith...didn't it seem like something was always going to be revealed about her but wasn't? And Damon's character was elvolving since book 1 and in the last he just flatlined. Then the tension between Bonnie & Damon and the human guy(lol can't remember his name)...it got started then never developed. The human story in the beginning of the Dark Reunion was soooo drawn out I couldn't wait till the vampire came into play. Eh, just not a satisifying end all around.
