I have read all of the books leading up to this spectacular ending and I have loved them. The author provided multiple twists in the story that kept me reading until the end. Throughout these books I have laughed, cried, become frustrated, and etc. right along with the characters. These books were amazingly written. I just wish that the series would have lasted longer!

I just finished Breaking Dawn today and absolutely LOVED it!!! I thought it was the perfect ending to the series and also thought that Stephenie's writing skills got better/stronger in this book. I was glad i waited on reading any of the neg/pos reviews until i finished. My only disappointment now is that i have to find something else to read that was just as good. :)

Wow. I have to agree with what everyone else has said who rated this one star. It was way too long, and boring. The first three books took me only a day or two to finish they were so good. This one took me a week! I hope they don't make this book into a movie too, because it will be really, really cheesy. I expected so much more.

This book is definitely enjoyable because Chelsea is so funny, likeable, and a decent writer. The book is in the category "memoir/humor" but I really think that even though it wasn't meant to be, it could be a psychology text too. It's nice that she takes her situation lightly, but she really is psychologically damaged (not saying most people aren't). Her perspective seems a little wack, like it's so normal to her to drink THAT much and have THAT much promiscuous, virtually anonymous sex. To read the book, you would think strangers just walk up to each other, say hello and go have sex. Promiscuity makes me pretty uneasy, and so I took one star off the book for her taking it so lightly.
On this amazon page, a review from Publishers Weekly reads, "Opening with a cute story from when she was seven...." I think the reviewer is missing the point completely. The story was not cute AT ALL. I don't know what purpose Chelsea had in mind when choosing the story (probably just the sex connection), but it reveals much more. It is a glimpse into the larger framework of the really bad parenting (common in our culture) that created the promiscuous alcoholic adult. Hardly a cute story, more of a violent, very psychologically revealing story.
I think Chelsea may be missing the point too, by spinning her wheels searching for a need to be fulfilled over and over, when it is impossible. But hey, she is funny as hell. and she seemed to come around at the end!

not great... I actually liked her newer book better (are you there vodka.. its me Chelsea).. After reading that book first, I was thinking this one had to be even more raunchy... but it wasn't what I expected. It wasn't bad... I enjoy the way she writes. I just was let down after reading the other book first.

I like to watch Chelsea's show, and she has a wry sense of humor; however, the way she conducted herself as a young woman is both frightening and sad. The thought of two underage women constantly drunk and inviting Godess knows whom into their beds, including criminals and absolute undesirables, wreaks of low self esteem, lack of self respect and no boundaries. I have to wonder if young women know they are putting themselves in danger when they get drunk and go home with strangers?? Not to mention diseases???? This lifestyle is not healthy. Think before you leap or read! I don't recommend this book to young women, who may be influenced to behave in unhealthy ways.

I think this book is great! It is very easy to listen to, as the author is very engaging. The author uses many examples of real couples and thier problems. Although it is meant mostly for couples, it is useful in any relationship. If everyone tried to learn and speak everyone else's love language, the world would be a better place!

Everyone has heard that opposites attract, but then how do these two opposites communicate after all the excitement has worn off? I learned that my love language was quality time talking together and my husband's was words of affirmation. I would have never figured this out on my own. I have been giving this book as a wedding present because I realized that young couples need it as much as couples who have been married 25 years. I've been told that it was the favorite gift one young couple received!

I read this book expecting it to be a "how-to" on meeting and getting to know women. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a captivating true story of a man's (and several other men's) metamorphosis from socially inept people to masters of attracting women. For anyone looking for the "how-to" material, it's all there, woven into the story. But there is more. We get to truly see these men for who they are and we see how becoming successful with women affects their lives in different ways. It is encouraging, extremely entertaining, and even heartwarming.

I gave some thought to purchasing this book after reading Tucker Max's "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell". I never would have figured it's a book on how to turn yourself from a social outcast into a player...by using magic tricks. Wow can you get any lamer? Do you honestly think that pulling a quarter out from behind your ear is going to get you women, you mine as well dress up in your star trek outfit and head out to the bars...don't forget your pointy ears.
Suggestion: Don't waste your money, I'd rate it lower if I could.

Thanks Style, not only have you given hope to shlubs like me, but you have demonstrated that self-improvement, while done to get women, is still a good thing. Over the last 3 years you have done little more than learn how to become an interesting person. I only wish that some of the bores in my life would take the time to learn how to be a little more interesting. Of course, living in Washington DC, there are never going to be a shortage of boring people. Thanks to you, I am effortlessly rising above them.My friends are complimenting me on the transformation that has taken place since I became aware of you. Thanks again!

This quite possibly could turn out to be the most important book I've ever read. To be more accurate, the white book may be. The black book is a good read, and offers insight into the human condition and society, but the white covered book, the Stylelife Challenge, is nothing less than the Cliff Notes to the fundamentals of human attraction. It's a refresher course in projecting charisma for those of us who grew up without the benefit of a solid mentor in this department.
Neil manages to explain and asks you to demonstrate for yourself in a series of social laboratory exercises the mechanics of human attraction, and challenges you to be the sort of man that women want to meet. And he does this without making you feel dirty, sleazy, or embarrassed.
I feel like I'm starting to understand the mechanisms of social interaction in a way that I never have before, and can understand past successes and failures in a way that was never possible without this information. I feel like someone finally told me the rules to a game I've been playing badly all my life... and they weren't what I'd thought they were.
In short, it's amazing. Enough said.

Although I enjoyed the Stlyleife Diaries, what was truly worth the money was the Stylelife challenge.
Why do all self help books always give you philosophical advice with no practical ways of incorporating it into your life?
This guide truly changed my dating life. It gives just enough theory while encouraging you to practice every day. It also doesn't allow you to skip ahead so you can learn in small chunks.
What keeps it from 5 stars is the fact that Neil essentially advertises his dating academy throughout the book which I thought ate into his integrity a bit.
Any man looking to improve his dating life should buy this ASAP.

Another awesome project by one of our best contemporary writers. Neil Strauss is a bestselling author who first got his notoriety as a staff writer for The Rolling Stone magazine. From there, he wrote books for & with some controversial artists such as Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, and even porn star Jenna Jameson. But his biggest success came when he started writing about the secret society of the Pick-Up artist. If you haven't yet had the chance to read 'The Game,' by him, GET IT NOW! You won't be able to put it down. Read the review if you like, but just trust me & get it - you won't regret it.

I first read this book some time ago, and I've read it quit a few times since. At least in parts. The seven principals of making a marriage work can be applied to any relationship. I've certainly tried to apply them in my life, to some success. We all need these reminders at time to help us get our thoughts and priorities in a relationship back on track. Regularly leafing through this book helps me to do that. While I didn't agree with absolutely everything the book says, it is certainly full of invaluable advice for all couples, and should be read by everyone in a relationship.

I think this is one of the best books that I have read on relationships in trouble. Principle 2 - Nurturing your fondness and admiration and Principle 6 - Overcoming Gridlock are worth the price of the book. The book contains a lot of tests and exercises most of which are very useful and insightful. The book assumes that both the husband and wife are trying to improve their marriage. It also works to some degree if only one person is working on the marriage.
The author does come accross in the first couple of chapters as arrogant but he tones it down in the remaining chapters. It is only slightly distracting.

This is an excellent book full of interesting information and useful exercises. If you or your counseling clients want to make marriage work, this could really help. I bought the Kindle version, though, and now I have no access to the exercises.
I borrowed the book from the library and made some copies of the exercises. There are so many good ones, this turned out to be a lot of time and money spent that I wouldn't have if only I had bought the book in the first place.
So, my message here is buy this BOOK! Work the exercises with your partner. Pass it along to someone else, too. Buy something else to read on Kindle.

I was looking for some answers with my current situation, and I found more than what I hoped for here. It struck a great number of familiar chords with both of us, and has true to life examples than any couple will relate to. This is a definite "must buy" book for any married couple.
Other excellent and unique book for relationships is I Love You. Now What?: Falling in Love is a Mystery, Keeping It Isn't

I did not care for this book at all. In fact, I read about 50 pages from a few chapters and threw the book away. Before you consider buying this book be aware the the author focuses a lot on the subconscious mind and emotional trauma from childhood and how he feels these impact a marriage. The book spends a lot of time helping you understand your subconscious and how your upbringing has screwed you and your marriage up. This may be the right approach for some people but I found it very cumbersome and honestly quite annoying. I guess I'm just not in touch with my inner child. Books I have read and enjoyed much more are Willard Harley's Fall In Love, Stay In Love - Excellent. The best marriage book I've read. I also enjoyed the 5 Love Languages.

This book was right on I reviewed it many time. I gave it four stars because the book was simple and made since. Nothing complicated. The reason it did not make 5 stars is because it only relates to people in a relationship. Not those looking.
great service!

Came very fast, just as ordered, I would order from here again. Awesome, Awesome book!! I can't say enough. Answers every question you ever had about a relationship. Even though Harvey is a minister, he is also a PHd, and his book is more psychological than religious in any way. I would highly reccomend this book to all couples, and to anyone who is interested in making a relationship work.
Great! Thanks very much!

This is the BEST book on relationships I've ever read. I wish it was written 30 years ago. I made most of the mistakes Sherry writes about. If this book was around I could have saved myself a lot of heartache. I flipped through one of my co-worker's copies and went right home and ordered both her books. I read it over a rainy weekend, and couldn't put the book down. Buy a copy for yourself, your best friend and your Daughter.

This book is worth every penny. The advice is short, to the point. Her take is that you should not give up your own life for just any guy. You should be able to hold your own in a relationship and feel respected by the man you date. You are the prize. You are the jewel. Do not sell yourself short and accept just any treatment from just any guy you meet.
Good luck in the dating world.

When I started reading this book, I thought that maybe it was not for me. Maybe I am already a bitch... I value myself and I would never put up with some of the situations the author describes as a no-no in her book. But as you progress towards the end of the book you start identifying with so many patterns that it is scary to think it might have been your fault the last time a relationship did not work! So, we value ourselves a lot in the beginning of a relationship, and then we get dangerously involved... is this our fault or the jerk's?
What got me questioning this book is the fact that it is not worth getting involved with someone who won't love you for who you are. I am sorry, but pretending I am someone else for the rest of my life is not my idea of happiness! Instead, I prefer to push away those guys that love to hunt. My purpose in life is not to make some jerk's life challenging and fun.
The mistake in this book is to sell the idea that you can transform a jerk into a prince by following simple rules of behaviour. People don't change, they grow, and that takes precious years that you may want to spend with someone else instead! Someone who has already grown up, perhaps? It's not that hard to find (and I recognize I am talking about men here)!
The fact is, you can transform a jerk into a prince temporarily, and most likely in the beginning of the relationship while he is still trying to impress you... but he will return to his jerky way of being as soon as you marry him, so why bother?
This book is all the way worth it, but has to be read with a critical eye. Instead of transforming that jerk into a prince, follow the author's advice to drive all the jerks away. And go get yourself a nice gentleman, will you?

Thank you Sherry! This is one of the best books I have read about relationships with men. In fact, I wish I had read this book 20 years ago. This should be the official guide for all women (all ages) adventuring into the dating world. The younger you read this book the greater your chances of succeeding in your relationships with men.
I am the typical nice girl. I am driven by emotions and when I meet a guy I like I see him as "the one" until proven otherwise. Therefore I automatically feel that I must give my 100% to that person. The problem with this approach is that giving your 100% too early in the relationship will make him feel as if he had it too easy and will make him go away looking for a better challenge. This book describes in a very simple and funny way something that we instinctively knew but couldn't put our finger on: These fantastic and interesting creatures called men are, very succinctly, "hunters" looking for their match... therefore women need to be the smart "strategist" prey.
I always wondered why relationships with the guys I liked never worked out while the guys I was not interested in were always chasing me. After reading this book it is clear that the reason was ME. It was amazing reading some of the examples about the typical mistakes women make that will kill the sparks on a relationship. More than one time it felt like I was reading my own diary...Depressing. It made me feel stupid and ignorant but at the same time it opened my eyes.
One note of caution: I have read some reviews stating that not all men are like the ones portrayed in this book, like if this book were about "jerks". This book is not about how "bad" men are or how "good" and mistreated girls are. I am pretty sure we all agree that inherent evil has nothing to do with sex. This book is about helping you understand basic rules of human nature and principles of relationships between sexes based on the fact that men and women are different and "think" differently. This book will give you the tools that you need in order to understand how men think and perceive your actions from their vantage point so you can make yours and your partner's dating experience more interesting and enduring

Mystery is the king of PUA. He is what we all try to aspire to be. It's a given fact. Neil Strauss made us all realize this in the Game. So why in the hell does Mystery spend the first 30 pages of this book trying to convince me that his method and the Venusian Arts work. Dude, no kidding, let's get straight to the point and teach me the techniques. You're already a household name, I don't need any more convincing. Once I got through all that, and there is a lot of it, it's good, and I was able to improve my skillset because of it. I want to be out there learning the game, not wasting an hour of my time being convinced that Mystery is the man.
AWESOME!!

Erik von Markovik thinks like a Stage Magician. Thus, he has a magician mindset.
He has the skills of leading folks through baby-step commands and body moves to control them.
In doing so, he controls their perception of ongoing at-the-moment experience and gains compliance.
In short, he creates mini-illusions like the Prize Illusion, the You're Getting Somewhere Illusion and the You're Cool Illusion.
By his dress and looks, Erik must have modeled himself after Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, right down to the black fingernail polish and the big floppy top hat.
Built from Group Dynamics and Dominance, the Mystery Method model makes these claims:
[1] Women want to feel secure, always
[2] Women want to feel excited
[3] Women want to know that you can deliver [1],[2]
[4] Women want men to be responsible for all [1],[2]
[5] Women only test contenders, those who could get sex
[6] Women must feel resistance after push testing to feel secure
[7] You must show higher worthiness than all other suitors
[8] You must act disinterested to the woman within a group who you want while showing your higher than others worthiness
[9] You must dominate the experience and all in the group through controlling the frame of reference, temporary beliefs
[10] You must come across as alive, deep, sexual, yet never easy, wimpy or a pushover
[11] You cannot make a woman feel like a slut in front of her peers
[12] You must control time perception of others
[13] You must gain dominance through Compliance Momentum that leads past the Compliance Threshold
In Erik's (or Chris Odom's) own words (from page 101):
"But in the Mystery Method, we approach the group itself. Women tend to be attracted to the highest-value man in their social context...you disarm the friends with stories, humor ... [to] steal the spotlight away from the hottie (the girl you want) ... [and] by negging (cutting down) the target (the girl you want)...Because her friends [now] love you ... you have social proof [status with] her peer group. Her [lowered] self-esteem [from] the negs ... [make her want] more attention from you ... She begins to work for your approval and [seeks] validation [from you]."
Few books are worth trading your time to read them.
This book offers some gems, a 20-something interpretation of university lectures in Group Dynamics and Interpersonal Communication Persuasion. Throw in
a few stage musician methods and you come up with the "Mystery Method."
Like most books, the story does not begin until several chapters ahead and like most books, The Mystery Method suffers from a bad chapter sequence.
Much of what you read from the Optional Chapters reflects social indoctrination that Erik took as a Canadian national. Thus, you can skip such without losing the essence of the method.
Here's a better chapter sequence to get you to the story faster:
Part I -- Foundation (Must Read)

Mystery is very, very good at picking up women, maybe the best. But for reading, I preferred The Game by Neil Strauss and Cougars, Poptarts & One Night Stands by Billy Conroy. Mystery has a paint-by-numbers type approach. The other two books have better overall advice. If you can, but all three. All the others I have read are a waste of time.
