This dictionary has everything you need in it. Im in A&P School and I use it every day. And other students borrow it on a regulay basis. It keeps me from running to the computer every time I need to understand something.

This was a required book for my A&P program. We haven't used it a ton but it has definitely come in handy from time to time. Some of the definitions are circular -- two definitions each referring to the other -- but for the most part they are clear and concise, quite helpful.

Although this dictionary is big, there are a significant number of terms I was unable to find that are important to instrument/commercial pilots - visual descent point (VDP), for example.

Seems to be more engineering/maintenance oriented because those types of terms are exhaustively covered.

A Must Have for Fans of the Television Show
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2006-09-01
My daughter is a huge Thomas fan, and she loves all of the Read To Me paperbacks. Because the books tell stories from the television series, we read these books at times when my daughter is asking to watch Thomas, but he isn't on. My daughter loves how the illustrations are actual still photographs from the television series. However, sometimes the photos shown don't really depict what is going on in the story. There are a lot of words in these books, with small print. These are definitely books little kids would not be able to read on their own, but they can enjoy the pictures on their own. It is wonderful how each book is comprised of 3 or 4 short stories that toddlers have no problem holding their attention through.

My three-year old son is an avid Thomas fan and this book so closely mimics the videos that sometimes I can hardly tear him away from the book! It is a great "learn to read" book for preschoolers. Even my 16-month old daughter easily recognizes the characters in the books from those that are in the videos. My son also likes the fact that there are several short stories in this book (great for bedtime! ) For any die-hard Thomas fan this book is a keeper!

This book isn't about aircraft knowledge about electronics, air, oil and hydrolics. It's a book about mechanical knowledges. Although that's not the right book I actually want, it's quite a good book.

I have an A&P license and bought this book for my son. It is a good example of quality sacrificed to feed someone's bottom line. Illustrations and figures in this book are of such poor quality that they appear to have been reduced on a copy machine, causing important details to disappear into blotches of ink. Reference tables have been reduced to the point where they are unreadable without a magnifying glass. There is no section on welding. If this is the only reference handbook on the market, then you're stuck with it -- but I sent mine back. Don't buy it.

It's the usual quality of a book from Bentley Publishers.
In my opinion the only problem of this book, is that don't cover the diesel engine, as it is written on the front, and also don't have the doble-panel sun-roof that come with the Touring car, just have the single-panel sun-roof.

The Bentley manual is a must for doit yourselfers. I reviewed multiple manuals after my recent BMW purchase and none compare with ease of use, and detailed information of the Bentley. This manual is well worth its' higher price as its' explicit instructions walk you through each task.
I have already used the manual as I completed a brake job and repair of the fog light system in my car. I have saved hundreds of dollars and time.
I highly recommend this manual.

This "Black Beauty for boys" is essential reading for anyone who wants to call themselves a "car guy". It is a simple novel about the sports car scene in the early 50's. From this period grew all the famous sports cars, including the Corvette & Cobra, and all the famous American road-racers.

I bought this book on Ebay after reading Motor Oil for the Car Guy's Soul by Kevin Clemens. I really didn't know what to expect. It was absolutely excellent. I have never read a more interesting book. Well-thought-out characters and setting, an excellent plot, and on top of it all a fire-engine red MG TC make this book quite a read. Why aren't there any books like this nowadays?

I bought this book as a paper back in 1957. Ordered it from the book club at school. I was 12 and the book captivated me. I am unable to locate that original- but it might be around somewhere. I am 61, and I purchased a 1st edition hardback on line. They are getting pricey. I have reread this book several times and it is a great book for a kid or an old guy. We even moved to Glenwood, where my son was born. I worked as a Pharmacy intern in a drug store there.(Wonder if it is the one in the book.) And I have a Z3 BMW roadster now. I tried to buy a
MG TF at sixteen, but my parents wouldn't let me. It was $650 at the time. I don't know if Bullet is Aspen (which I think it is- Or Basalt) There is no Bullet I know of. Great early teen or pre-teen book.

It has been 35 years since I read the book but I can vivdly remember many parts of it. For example the mechanic Frenchy left his tools dirty to keep others from walking off with them; the race through the mountains with the big Ford that could not stay with the MG in the curves and then his Dad getting caught up in the moment, telling him to speed up. Then later the Dad telling the boy not to mention the race to his mother and cautioning all of the other boys on how dangerous they had been. What a grand book to read.

This is a great resource. I had been searching for a good bok to help me outfit my garage into a race shop. Most of the books out there on this category are more feng shui and organized oriented (not really what I was looking for). This books helps with overall layout, equipment reccomendations, and useful weblinks to help with your project. It even has some cool garage projects as well. Definitely worth buying and keeping!

This is a great and QUIET toy that keeps my son entertained for quite a while considering he is only 2 yrs old. He only gets to play with it on Sundays during church which helps the book keep its "novelty" and keeps my son from getting bored during the hour that he needs to sit still. We like it and highly recommend it.

Magnetically Delightful

Peep, peep! Thomas and his friends are hard at work. All the people on the Island of Sodor depend on Sir Topham Hatt's railway every day, and they are always glad to see one of the engines coming down the line. Now, children can help, too, by creating their own scenes and stories with 9 fun magnets: Thomas, Gordon, Henry, James, Percy, Mavis, Harold the Helicopter, and two Troublesome Trucks.

There are 6 colorful, magnetized, glossy pages to the board book. The story features short sentences, and children are given plenty of space to arrange the magnets on the story boards. There's a plastic sleeve on the side that holds the magnets when not in use. The closed book holds it shut, so it's unlikely for the magnets to spill out when handled by children.

My son has gotten a lot of mileage out of the magnets, even using them on the fridge and other magnetic surfaces.

We got this before a flight and it has been a great activity book for my 2 year old. He loves putting the magnets on the tracks and then saying 'goodnight' to them each evening as we put them back in the case. It's more activity than book. He loves it! Not a day goes by when we don't read it at least once.

Terrific book!

While the story is so-so, the fact that it has magnets is a definite plus! Keeps the kids busy in the car, at home, anywhere and the magnets store nicely on the side of the book!

Comprehensive and in depth coverage of Basic EMT instruction. I am instructed at a public safety training facility in New York and these texts are the core of our curricula. The "You are the provider" and EMT-B Tips insets and bold print volcabulary in each chapter tie you to real life scenario vinettes; a great tool to help take the covered material in each section of text "to the street".

I have been into SuperBees since 1969 when I purchased my first with a 426 Hemi and I thought this book would be a more hands-on nitty gritty approach as to how to do even the little things such as installing a headliner.

Although I did find it helpful, I also was a little dissapointed at the generalities of the book and not enough detail.

I purchased the Restoration Guide plus Interchange Manual the for our 1970 Super Bee and they immediately became an outstanding reference source for our MOPAR muscle car. Pictures and diagrams are clear and easy to see. We are still researching parts for the project and have not started the restoration process. So far, the book has been very informative and should be easy to follow.

Very detailed reference for anyone restoring a classic mopar. Very little is left uncovered. Original factory part numbers are included for most parts. A great section on decoding V.I.N. numbers and fender tags. This book also lists most option packages available for the various years. For Concours level restorations this book is a must. I studied it closely before buying my own '69 Charger. This would also be a great source of information for model builders as this book is loaded with pictures and diagrams.

As a restoration guide this is a poor guide,if you want a book that is a year one sales catalog with better descriptions this is your book.If you are looking for a book to help you to restore your car it is only good for part numbers. As far as how to restore these cars or any pictures or assembly diagrams, you will not find it here.

Better title wouldbe parts numbers for B-Bodies!!
Helpful Votes: 25 out of 25 total.
Review Date: 2000-08-28
The use of the word "Resortation" guide seems misleading here. I was expecting to see more "how-to" stuff - or "problem areas with these old B-Bodies" - hints, tips, etc.. Instead you get "this car used this part number and this car used that one"..."and they are NOT interchangeable". Don't get me wrong, that IS valuable information. BUT... it seems like alot of the verbage (a very large portion of this book BTW) would be better placed in a parts interchange manual! Its like combine this book with his parts interchange manual and you have the ultimate Chrysler parts interchange manual! One thing I DID LIKE about the book was ... in places, the author would say "Paint this 30deg Gloss Black"... Now that's cool AND useful! And I guess that was what I expected to see more of...Unfortunately, it doesnt show up that much in this book! All in all I would still recommend this book - There IS alot of useful info here. but I wish someone would write a definitive MOPAR restoration book dealing with such stuff as replacing Floor pans, Quarter panels, cowls, valences, wheel wells, detailing the engine bay etc... Actually a whole volume series A,B,C and E bodies would be cool!!! Good Luck
