This is definitely the best introductory book there is on the subject. This was a supplemental book for an undergraduate class of mine, but I read it anyway. The authors lucid writing allows this book to be thoroughly understood by all readers despite their backround in economics. I truly believe that this book should be required reading for all history, political science, finance, sociology, and economics majors.

Unlike most books on the history of anything, this book starts from the beginning. The authors start off discussing explorers and empires and then go into colonization. Extremely informative on the economics of different regions in colonial America and the Industrial Revolution.

Rockoff gives a brilliant account of the history of the American Economy and is possibly the best American economic historian in US history.

This product was in great shape-- better than I expected and it came in the mail just 3 days after I ordered it!! Granted the seller and I both live in the great state of MN... I was impressed!

After my business communications class ends, I will keep this book as a reference - a great reference for all types of business communications: resumes, memos, emails, letters, formal reports, and presentations. Includes handy sections on confusing words, difficult punctuation, proper formatting, and more. A well written and well organized text.

I ordered three books and this is the only one I didn't receive. At first I thought the hurricane might have slowed the process up but I never did get it. I had to drop my class.

i have been teaching Business Research to MBA classes for 5 years. I have gone through many text books and tried out several as recommended reading for my classes. None come even close to the readability and sheer ease of use of this book by Professor Zikmund. It is well organised, and gives comprehensive coverage to all aspects of research without getting bogged down in theory. The examples, end of chapter questions and cases are interesting and serve as excellent discussion points in class. I am happy to see a new edition is available and hope that it will contain some more up to date examples.

I've been doing online surveys and consulting for years and have found Vista surveys to be the best by far. This book really helps to enusure that I ask the right questions for my Fortune 500 clients! Highly recommend indeed!

My intent is not to bog down the reader with a lot of drivel.

This is one of the better copies of the republic I have seen and read. I would have prefered a hardcover version, but at this price it is a steal. There are copious footnotes and references which further assist the reader in deciphering one of the most published and interested philosphical texts ever.

As far as the work by Plato, it is one of the single most important books ever written and should be read by every person with an above average IQ and a thirst for knowledge and understanding (which begins with truth, thanks Plato!).

I have not even began reading this book and I am highly disappointed. I ordered it on Amazon because prices are always better here than the on campus bookstore but it turnes out the textbook doesn't come with the required Jazz kit that the description implies it does!!!!!!!

It is a good text and reference, but is somewhat dated
in an age where hip hop and rap have replaced rock
in the hearts of the many of the younger generation.
Music tends to move on and the scholars only realize it a generation down the line and write about it then.
This was in 1978 a revolutionary type of music text book: has become a standard, but has even with updated become a "classic".
Mostly this gap has happened because we are living in a computer age of iPods and mp3's. Electronic jazz is here.

This book is not supposed yo come with the CD. The CD'S are listed with separate ISBN numbers. I even returned this book to Amazon thinking I never received the CD'S and Amazon sent me a new copy, I guess even they did not know that it does not come with CDs. If you want the CDs then the ISBN number is 0136005616.

Amazon advertises this book in their editorial review as having "accompanying cd's". I did not get with my book and they dropped the book price by $5.00 this week. Now I have to track down just the cd's that are suppose to be included as advertised!!!!

This book was received WITHOUT the 2 disks which were to be included. The text refers frequently to the tracks on the 2 CDs which the text states WERE packaged with the book & included in the price. Thanks a bunch for nothing! Since this book is to be used in a college class, I'm really out of luck!

Very easy-to-read text, chock-full of case citations and examples. A great text for business students and an easy-to-understand introduction to law as it applies to the real world!
